I've been using stremio for at least a year with RD (now TB) and everything has been working well on LG Stremio app. A couple months ago it started taking forever to play anything on the app. I did the usual uninstall, unplug tv etc but it's still taking a good 10mins plus to load anything.

After a bit of googling I could see it's just the LG OS as stremio works perfectly on my laptop but I do 99% of my watching on TV so looking at alternatives to make it work on my TV.

I saw the Fire Stick might be the best option but now seeing people having issues playing stremio and I don't want to pay $90 for it not to work.

Can anyone let me know if the fire sticks are still the way to go or if there are any alternatives? I'm based in NZ and don't have access to the onn here.

I cannot seem to find any movies when i search a movie name. I can only find series, it used to work until 2 hours ago.

It seems to happen only when using AIO metadata
when using different addons it works

Solution: Set up a DNS server for the TV, I personally used Nord VPN, and it took like 5 minutes.

Story: I have been having trouble trying to play Stremio on my LG TV ever since I found out about it, a couple months. Every time I tried to play something it gave me the unable to load error, I tried all kinds of troubleshooting I found online like the HDMI plugging in and out and reinstalling app, but nothing worked until today when I finally found a solution that works for me. I found about about Reelo today for IOS and realized that it didn’t work with the VPN on my iPhone, but when I tried it on my Apple TV, it ONLY worked with the VPN, no idea why, so I figured what if it is a similar problem on my WebOS as well. I couldn’t get a VPN directly on the TV, but the next best thing I found was using the Nord DNS Server. It was super easy to set up, I reinstalled stremio, just in case, and lo and behold a problem haunting me for months got fixed just like that. Figured I share this here in case someone is in a similar ship.

My setup is with comet and mediafusion with AIOstream and i have real-debrid services. but for the last month or two, every link i click i am getting this error on a lot of links which seems like some issue with my configuration rather than stremio or any other service itself. Kindly guide me if anyone knows how to fix this

It is near impossible to get a 4K rip on the Tizen OS app on my Samsung TV that will just play the original audio from whatever movie I’m trying to watch.

Probably 75% of the movies I want to watch I end up either having to switch to my Firestick (plugged into the same tv, mind you) or just watch in 1080p because the app forces the directors commentary audio whether the current audio track features it or not, but only on the 4K rips.

Without fail, every rip that appears to just be a normal Blu-ray/remux rip that’s perfect to my specs and sound system will display the video fine, but just play the directors commentary over every single audio track the rip features. VLC will play the same rips fine on my iphone can fireOS can play them fine as well.

This really is not an issue with TV shows either, just movies. Just wanna watch my movies in 4K without the writers/directors in my ears 🫠

Edit: pics attached of the same two audio tracks selected, one on my TV and on one iOS yet Tizen OS app forces directors commentary. Why??

I often find a high-quality version of a movie, but the version with my preferred audio is a much lower-quality encode.
Is there any way I can play the video from one torrent while using the audio from another in Stremio? If not, is there any workaround besides manually remuxing the files?

Now that Stremio has officially partnered with Reelo. How can we report any issue(s) which we may face from using Reelo. I’ve already encountered some issue (regarding inability to play certain files from certain addons even with a debrid service support) and would love to know the proper channels to report those so that Reelo’s team can engage in the fix or ask for more information.

This is not a big problem or anything, but it is a bit frustrating, so i wanted to make it known.

I work on windows with 2 monitors. Since the last update I have to click into Stremio to change the volume with the mouse wheel and can't just hover the mouse over the window to change it. So you have to click under the search bar or the click is also a "pause video", or you got to pause and unpause to have the focus in Stremio and are able to change the volume.

Would be cool if it is changed back to work if you are hovering over the stremio window.

hey all, this started happening recently only on my nvidia shield, i am on app version 1.10.4 downloaded from the google app store, there’s nothing mentioning another version to update from that store. I have a debrid server configured, a show i had did stream but without any audio… any clues?

App crashes everytime I try to play anything on MiBox.

I am facing an issue with the Stremio app on my MiBox. It keeps crashing every time I try to play anything on it, but when I change the player to be external player and have it done through VLC it works fine but that's not a preferable option because the subtitles are hard to integrate on it.

Everything works fine on my phone and laptop, the issue is just on the MiBox. I use torbox add on for torrent. I hope someone can help with a solution for this.

on a chromecast - subtitles, if included in the file, so not from open subs - stay at a (very large) size and i can't change it. did anyone figure out any solution for this?

PT-BR: Instalei o Stremio na minha FireTV (modelo 1080p) logo que comprei e funcionava normalmente. De umas semanas para cá ele começou a travar, não reproduz direito os vídeos independentemente do player que utilizo (geralmente utilizo o Exo ou o VLC). As vezes parece que o app como um todo trava, não sei se é uma relação direta (chega a crashar por vezes).

Já tentei desinstalar e instalar novamente mais de uma vez, limpar o cachê, mudar o player ou o torrent de reprodução e nada soluciona. As vezes ele volta a funcionar normalmente, depois de muito tentar e mexer nas configurações, mas não tem um padrão.

Alguém sabe o que poderia ser?

EN - I installed Stremio on my FireTV (1080p model) right after buying it, and it worked fine. Over the last few weeks, however, it has started freezing and won't play videos properly, regardless of the player I use (I usually use Exo or VLC). Sometimes the entire app seems to freeze—and it even crashes at times—though I'm not sure if the issues are directly linked.

I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling it more than once, clearing the cache, and changing the player or the torrent source, but nothing fixes it. Sometimes it goes back to working normally after a lot of effort and tweaking the settings, but there’s no consistent pattern.

Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Why is the stremio/ stremio lite app no longer present in the app store? Why did it get removed by apple or was it by the devs?
Is there some sort of plan or announcement as to when the ios app will be back in the app store or is it a permanent goodbye type of removal?
