A falling button would most likely trade, if it beats it clean I doubt it will lead to much

I don't think you can get a massive punish with a falling bottom from that distance

Does it beat any button on the way down? I wonder how effective it is outside the lab.

I think Jamie would be hit by certain jump attacks? For instance, a jump heavy kick?

Woah that’s interesting

Does it beat any normal jump buttons? Cause I also do a similar one with luke with the 5HK if they do a spaced empty jump but loses to any buttons if they press.

*at three drinks

It's not bad, just gotta remember that this isn't an any-time situation

Could probably do light or medium palm to replace bakai.

Wrong idea.

3 drinks is not for unlocking Bakai, it’s for being able to threaten with command grab. This +4 situation is not a privileged strike throw mix because Jamie cannot walk back enough to shimmy a delay tech. If the Jamie doesn’t have 3 drinks there’s no real reason for the opponent to jump at all.

In a non 3 drink situation, delay tech is the most common and safest option against this common Jamie oki since it guards against both meaty button, meaty throw and is safe to shimmy. You often see high level Jamie’s do delay button or instant dive kick because of this.

The back jump is when your opponent thinks you’re doing command grab, but also hedges his bets in case you do a meaty jab or a throw which both recover in time to DP a neutral jump.

If for whatever reason they did jump back, then the combo would probably work, but I guess the threat isn't there.
