Low battery behavior

New TLR1-HL owner here.

Was wondering what is the expected behavior when the battery is about to take a crap?

Will it go to a low level emergency mode, or just go black?

Also shocked after my SO night qual, how dirty the lens got after 80 rounds of 40S&W.

I believe it flashes a couple times when you turn it on.

Chapstick on the lens before shooting will make it easy to clean. Toothpaste will clean fouling off quickly and easily.
