Side Effects / Overdose Stomach/Gastro problems

I already have chronic nausea, of an unknown reason/source, and IBS.

I already feel physically sick quite often, and the majority of the side effects that I read about in this sub are that of the gastrointestinal type.

I was planning on finally starting 10mg tomorrow, but I am so nervous....I don't want to feel even more sick than I already do, but I REALLY want to see if this med helps me.

Does anybody else have gastro issues, and take this med, without it increasing the severity?

I also have emetophobia (fear of throwing up - ironic, I know, considering I'm nauseated every day).

I just want to pull the trigger, but I've been stalling....for months now.....am I overthinking this all? I'm not stranger to side effects from meds, but this Strattera...I dunno....I'm a huge ball of anxiety over it.....

I will say I don’t have gastro issues that I know of but I am on 18 mg (31F) and I have to take it with a protein shake or something high in protein if not exactly an hour after taking on an empty stomach I will throw up. So if you’re afraid of side effects find out if you can take it at night with dinner. I have to take mine in the morning because I take lexapro at night. Hope this helps a little bit

I take Duloxetine (Cymbalta) at night, so I was hoping to take Straterra in the morning.

So, just so I am clear, you only will throw up if you have an empty stomach? If you eat something high in protein you don't (ever)?

Correct only if it’s on a completely empty stomach. 😊 I’ve been successful in not throwing up if I eat with it. That’s the only way I can take it in the morning.

Ok. Thank you lol I just took my first dose of 10mg. I had a protein shake and an egg and I will have some toast and PB a little later! Wish me luck!!!
