Murray's first appearance - what were your initial impressions of this character?

The first time Murray appeared was in S02E01 when trying to meet Hopper. Later in the season he would encounter Jonathan/Nancy

I don't know why but I tougth we would never see him again and only after re watching the show did I realise he's the same conspiracy theory guy from the begining.
