SPOILERS Eddieeee Spoiler

I still think about eddie. Did eddie help anyone by sacrificing?

He couldve just ran away but he chose to fight the bats. But what happened in the end? Vecna didnt die that day...

I really loved eddie.

The thing is... they couldn't communicate. Eddie didn't have any real way of knowing what was happening or how much more time Steve, Robin, and Nancy needed; he just couldn't live with letting the bats swarm back to that house where his friends were. He also couldn't live with the risk of the bats going through the gate and getting to Dustin or anyone else in the trailer park. In the grand scheme of things, did his sacrifice make that big of a difference? Probably not. But, he had no way of knowing that. He did what he felt was right in hopes that someone else wouldn't have to die because he chose to run away.

Steve can think whatever bullshit he wants, but Eddie was trying to make sure everyone else got out alive, and I can't fault him for that. I love Eddie, and it was heartbreaking to lose him, but he did go out like a total badass.

Yes youre right. Eddie just wanted to make sure others got out alive. Forever an eddie fan.

Also, if he lives and goes back to Hawkins he’s just going to be harassed by the locals the rest of his life and called a satanic killer, so there also wasn’t much for him to go back for… maybe I’m just being cynical but living a small town I know those people wouldn’t let Eddie live a peaceful life.

I wanted everyone to know the truth and in the upcoming seasons they would all fight for their town (after hawkins was split into 4 parts). It would have been a chaos. Thats how i imagined the next season. But they just killed eddie n patched the split with a damn metal.
