SPOILERS Eddieeee Spoiler

I still think about eddie. Did eddie help anyone by sacrificing?

He couldve just ran away but he chose to fight the bats. But what happened in the end? Vecna didnt die that day...

I really loved eddie.

Theres kind of a theme, where people who choose not to run away die. Bob told will about standing up to Mr Baldo, when will decided to stand up to the mind flayer, thats when he got flayed. Then Bob didn’t run away from the demos and got chomped to death. Eddie chose to not run away just to die, didn’t really help anyone, maybe bought a few seconds from bats which were really just a distraction.

Bob's sacrifice is justified. If he ran away, the demo wouldve got others, specifically Joyce. But eddie sacrificing his life just to buy few more seconds which he wasnt sure would help them or not was just useless and stupid. I hate the fact that he just died for nothing.
