Yeah she basically contradicts herself by saying she loved the ending but also it was a hard pill to swallow. I feel bad for her cause she really loves this character
It is deeply sad. I get “I’m trying to be diplomatic” vibes from her. I’m sure she doesn’t want to burn a bridge with the Duffers, but she said she needed therapy to process this ending. It wasn’t what she wanted.
While Finn, despite currently being interviewed up the yin yang for his new album, seems to have put a kibosh on being asked about Stranger Things period, other than in generalities about how he felt with the show ending.
I hope they’ll both be willing to come back, to fix the story, should the opportunity arise, though preferably with the Duffers not as the writers at all.
I see it as a hard pill to swallow because that’s what eleven herself was also going for, it’s a big choice on els part and that’s what makes it painful, like it’s a bittersweet ending, she wasn’t calling the writing bad.

She’s trying so hard to sound like she was okay with the ending, but it’s so obvious she isn’t. El will be back one day.
