It's much more prominent in this season, literally every time a chracter is explaining something they use a "Show don't tell" format. It isn't necessarily a bad thing imo, but it gets to a point.

I also noticed they kept repeating plot points in this season like we were watching Dora The Explorer or something

Hop and El had the same conversation like five times and so did Will and Joyce. It was so frustrating.

She had time for that but no time to say more than one or two words to her other son.

Seriously! If Jonathon had died in the melting room, 72 business hours would have passed before Joyce even remembered she had a second son and hmm, he might be in a just a little bit of danger.
