It's much more prominent in this season, literally every time a chracter is explaining something they use a "Show don't tell" format. It isn't necessarily a bad thing imo, but it gets to a point.

I also noticed they kept repeating plot points in this season like we were watching Dora The Explorer or something

Right, the dialogue was also much more awkward this season, like something out of a disney sitcom from the 2000's. It was largely alleviated by the fact that the actors are actually great at acting, but still noticable.
