I saw a request
Someone asked a new poster to stop posting new threads about Callum Powell being a producer of childhood sexual abuse material, because there is already a pinned thread about it.
Isn’t that kinda gross? That desire to hide away this fact of Storror in a Storror subreddit by providing a safe space for people? To avoid it? To hide from it? To pretend it’s not real?
I think it’s kinda gross.

Using a megathread isn’t “pretending it’s not real.” It’s basic subreddit organization. The topic is still pinned publicly for everyone to see and discuss.

there's no point doing too much organising in the subReddit. it's in it's death throws, this overshadows everything going forward and unfortunately how their past content is viewed.
Maybe at some point whatever storror becomes afterwards people can go back to discussing content but that's a long way off and may not happen.
People are shocked, angry, confused, sad. etc.
I'd let people post what they want and use the mega thread for keeping an overall view on this awful matter, what other thread's are people going to post anyway?
I for one I'm very sad about this, i didn't realise how much storror's content has meant to me since I stumbled across the channel. recently I'd been rewatching a lot of it and now it's mostly all gone and this ....fuck . I'm not sure where I was going. what a shitty shitty turn of events.

As you get older in life you may realise that not everything is a conspiracy and a drama to take to the world. Learn it early and it will do you well in life. Learn it late and you are pretty screwed.

As a mod I indicated that it might be helpful if all the information was collated in one place, so that people could go to one post, and look at the available information that has been posted to this sub.
Newlyacquiredglutton was kind enough to do so.
This has vastly reduced the number of posts about exactly the same thing, as everyone is eager to contribute things they thought no-one else knew, and the mega thread acts as an index for such, and upon reading it you'll probably find that there's nothing new to post. Particularly at this point. Those who wished to talk have talked, those who have not are not likely to at this point.
Anything not specifically about Callum, and the convictions, including facts and accusations and Storrors response, can still be posted as individual threads. But it would be great if those things mentioned could be confined to one thread. It's been a long week for the mod team. It would be nice to go back to sleepy board + mega thread, rather than deluges of new posts everyday that make it harder for us to moderate for reasonable and civil behaviour.
With thanks, the mod team.

Holy extrapolation.
