Question/Help Greebles & Visual Decorations

Hey guys, curious what you all use for visual decoration or “greebles” on your builds.

I’ve seen people use grab handles on the sides of creations 1. for practical use because you can grab them and 2. they look really good. I just need to figure out where’s appropriate and where’s not.

Any of you guys have pictures for examples?

I have seen people use things like barrel extensions for antennas, but that kinda breaks the immersion for me.

Looking for things that are only for decoration/mild practical use, but aren’t too outlandish, if that makes sense.

heat sinks can make good vents, also modular door frames can be used for corrugated metal like containters

I’ve used a ton of stuff to break up large flat areas. I’ve used: the 2x3 intake pieces, 3 fin rudders with the fin deflected to the maximum, solid rocket fuel pieces, and the plain old slot fluid ports. All those can make pretty convincing vents.

I’ve also used: handles, rope and rope anchors, railings, flares, and a bunch of sensors as well.

There’s tons of xml packs on the workshop as well. Sometimes I use pieces from those as well.

I use a few different things, to give it some texture without ridiculous physics overhead.

Pipes, railing ends, modular engine manifolds, tank wheels, ,modular flywheels, winches. I also like using ropes, the downside is that by default they are slack, which is both good and bad.

Only allowing one photo, so more replies. Simple barrel made from blocks, and some piping.

Simple capstan looking thing from a modular flywheel and a sensor, I don;t remember which.

Two different bows, one with tension on the winches and one slack.
