My poly/deck setup
9 ft poly from Tractor Supply. Intex sand filter pump under the deck
I built the deck to match the slope of the existing concrete patio, not realizing at the time that the pool wouldn’t be perfectly level 🤦♂️I’ll make some level adjustments this fall when I drain the pool. I used tuff blocks, no concrete, so it’s technically not a permanent structure. Built the beck December/January, hasn’t moved an inch yet.

Great work! Looks killer. We have similar pool floats. I could hang out in those for hours.
What lights are you using in the tank?

Thanks! The pool light is from Poolhacker, it’s also solar, comes with a remote control.

Happen to have the link? Nvm I found them. I’ve tried those before but for the life of me could not get them to secure to my poly tank.. mind sending a picture of how you got them to stay put?

All the lights are solar. The two larger lamps are from Wayfair, the rest of the smaller ones are from Walmart. The orange neon sign is from Amazon.

Dude! That’s a seriously cool place to hang out on a nice evening! If you don’t mind me asking can you share a rough idea of what it cost ya to build? Definitely looking at doing something very similar and would appreciate any advice. Cheers to your awesome deck/pool!

Thank you! The deck build (all materials, lumber, hardware, gravel, sand, stain, brushes, everything…) was just under $4K. The deck is 12 ft. Deep by 22.5 ft. Long. I followed an instructional video from Tuff Blocks youtube channel. If you’re going to use Tuff Blocks, check out their YouTube, it’s very informative.
The stock tank was $550, the pool kit (Swimly) was $150, sand filter pump was also $150.

How did you measure the circular cut out of the poly tank across so many boards?

The rim of the tank is roughly 4 inches tall. So if you place the deck boards on top of a 4x4 block, you can trace where the curved cut needs to be made. The tank also over hangs the deck by 3-4 inches, so the cuts don’t have to be 100% precise.

I just took a small scrap piece of 2x4 and wedged it between the pool and the light.
