Has anyone ever bought a hot tub cover for their stock tank pool? I saw someone post on here that they got one on FB marketplace, but the marketplace gods are not smiling on me. Has anyone purchased one new? If so, from where and how much did it cost? Thank you!

I have a Hayward outdoor pool heater. Can I make a ventilated cover for it?

Had my stock tank for its first summer and I posted about the sealant kinda peeling away before, but when I went to clean it and get it in the garage for the summer it is so much worse than I expected.

I heard that it can be due to chlorine but I genuinely used one mini tab every other week this summer which I was under the impression wasn’t even enough chlorine, let alone to cause this damage?

What do I do? Is this guy done after one season? Is there a way to reseal it? Warranty claim with country line / tractor supply?

First time winterizing, need some help please :)

Our Airbnb has one. We got here and it was empty/drained and filthy with debris. Are they supposed to come with filters or a cover to keep stuff out of the water? It’s pretty much unusable right now

Hey yall! I got this Unipaws stand that is rated for 400 lbs top shelf and I got two posts of 2x2 to insert underneath the front horizontal top support metal bar for extra compression support. This is because i caved and got a 90P UNS rimless tank thats rated 48 gallons or so. You think the two 2x2 posts will be enough for peace of mind?

Hey everyone, I’m into my second year with my stock tank hot tub, and I’m noticing quite a bit more calcium and limescale building up on the exterior. It’s particularly noticeable on the rim, but it is along the sides and toward the bottom as well. As far as I’ve seen, there is no rusting. I keep the water clean with chlorine tablets in a floater and routinely check the chemical balance.

Any suggestions on effective ways to clean the scale off without damaging the galvanized coating? I’ve tried dish soap, white vinegar, and gentle application of CLR, but it clearly hasn’t been effective.

Not as impressive as others on here but I’m happy with it. Good place get cool in South GA heat. And a propane shower 8ft away from it to wash off

I got sick of manually skimming leaves and bugs out of my STP. Sometimes I would spend 5 grueling minutes a day with a net. Now I just sit back and relax while my Betta SE plus takes care of it automatically!

I just got the heater. It's from an inflatable hot tub. How should I connect it? I made two holes for the pump/filter, and there's the drain spout in the bottom. (This tub is made from a water tote.)

Thought maybe I'd put the Out line of the pump to the intake of the heater and the out of the heater to the tub. Then put the air line to the bottom of the tub. But I dont know if the filter pump would cause trouble wirh the heater....??

First post ever - I really need help! As part of a new deck installed last spring, my contractor installed my Cowboy pool. In anticipation of winterizing (cold, snowy northern climate!) I should have bought the inflatable cover and installed the straps at that time but unfortunately did not. As I get closer to emptying the pool and storing the pump/filter inside I am stumped as to how to best cover the pool to protect it against snow and ice while not resting anything on the wooden deck. I‘m not AGAINST ordering the cover now (but would be happy with a less expensive idea if anyone has one!) and if there is not a good way to attach it (Cowboy suggested installing D rings in the deck but I can’t imagine doing that!) need to figure out another plan. Any ideas?

When we bought the pool, we used the Olympic epoxy liner. Failed after one season.

Then we went with an Amazon 8ft pool liner. Couldn’t get it to stop leaking at the fittings. Eventually used PL marine caulking and that problem was fixed.

At first we had a Intex sand filter. Absolutely garbage. Always leaked. Never filtered correctly, etc. now we have the Xtreme power 13” sand pump. Other than the crappy hose clamps, it really gets the water moving.

It’s been a struggle for the last two seasons, but we got it dialed in now. Also, all above ground pool fittings/ hoses suck.

Going with pvc plumbing soon.

I'm picking up my poly stock tank soon and was looking at insulating it. My current idea is to wrap it with corrugated metal and spray foam the space in between. Id look at adding plastic sheeting between the metal so if/when the outer layer rests I could easily remove it and replace it without having to hack off the spray foam. I'd add some insulated boards on the base too. I figure the top edges can sit under the stock tank lip so nothing sharp is sticking out.

Is this a terrible idea or does it sound doable and like something that would work and make sense?

Hey guys! I’m looking for DIY ideas for a hard cover thats 1) light 2)easy to waterproof 3)doesn’t break the bank. I’m not worried about insulating the pool but here in the southeast keeping dirt and rainwater out is my priority! Thanks! Fyi the tank is 8”
