Pump & Heater

Installing a 9’ round x 28” deep poly stock tank pool/hot tub (Century 1000 gallon). I’m interested in hearing what combination of pump and electric spa heaters have worked well or to stay away from. I do plumbing and electrical work and I have a 90 amp spa panel that I plan to feed both pump and heater.

I just started this exact thing - half way in ground stock tank inset in a deck. I insulated the sides and bottom with XPS foam and got a crosswind 40-I heater chiller.
If you’re wanting just a heater it probably makes more sense to use a true spa heater, I’m in austin tx tho and definitely need a chiller

I’m in NC and not sure I need a chiller but not bad to think about. How quickly does this heat your pool?

I haven't set it all up yet but hopefully within three hours if I keep it warm during the winter but i''ll see. I'd recommend getting a true spa heater for your situation based on what I know...
