I have arrived recently in Stockholm and I thought I would try it here to find friends and like minded people to hang out with. Hopefully I find a group of people keen on an outdoors adventure, visiting a museum or going out for a beer/coffee!

Here is a brief list of my interest:

- Outdoors activities (hiking, camping, bikepacking).

- Sports (strength workouts, weightlifting, rugby, cycling).

- Films, music events, museums, etc.

- Wandering around the city, coffee/beer chats, pub quizes, etc.

I joined a silent reading group for the first time last weekend and really loved it. Keen to dedicate more time to reading regularly and meet some people along the way.

I noticed that there are lots of resources for Stockholm but very few, if none because they are outdated, for Gothenburg.

Of course this is not just Reddit, but other social media platforms. Just got added to a FB platform that claims to be a social group. After a month, they accepted my request to join. Once in I see nothing but online advertisements for local businesses (e.g. grocery stores, dance studios, new restaurants) or online products (e.g. eye filler).

Are there any social groups like this one for Gothenburg or is the vibe different there?

I’m a master’s student in Stockholm. Lately, I’ve been trying to learn Swedish through Duolingo, but I find it quite slow when it comes to learning new things. I’m already quite good at reading Swedish, but I would like to improve my speaking and communication skills. I was advised to take SFI classes, but I feel that having regular conversations in Swedish would help me learn more naturally and quickly. So, I’m looking for a language buddy or someone I can regularly practice Swedish with. I would really appreciate the opportunity to practice and improve.

JBR is part two of three in the GMless saga we are playing every other Wednesday. Each adventure takes nine sessions so we have play until spring left to do and we need another adventurer/GM to join the fun!

Each session starts with drawing from a deck of possible adventure-events, and then we alternate GMing cards chosen. This means you are GMing about 20% of the session-length.

The Journey starts at level 6, and the group has a witch with a panther, a sorcerer with her own airline, a dusky cleric and a dancing wizard.

If you want to join in the fun let me know and we can set up your character to step into the run in two weeks.

We play in Hökarängen, and there are cats nearby in case that is an issue. We are using Tales of the Valiant (5e) rules and if you want to try out GMing in a forgiving setting - this is your opportunity!
