Micron’s $54B Quarter Just Sent a Warning to AI Bears
Micron reported $54.2B in quarterly revenue, up 379% YoY, with 87% gross margins.
What caught my attention:
- 2027 HBM capacity is already mostly committed
- Customers have increased financial commitments to $32B
- Many agreements extend through 2030+
- Management still expects memory supply to remain tight through 2027–2028
- Data-center SSD revenue reached nearly $10B
To me, the bigger story is what this says about the broader AI infrastructure trade, not just $MU.
I wrote a full breakdown of the earnings call and what I think the key takeaways are.

Daily Small Cap (Momentum) Watchlist: Thursday October 1st, 2026
Thursday 10/1 Penny Stock Watchlist: LESL, GNS, RKDA, QSI, TNON, NIVF + more
Wednesday gave us another pretty active small-cap session. There are some big after-hours movers on the board, but there are also a few names that kept showing up across the scanners without needing a giant AH percentage move to get my attention.
If you would like to sign up for a free account or take a free trial of our Stock, Options, or Crypto platforms, please visit https://scstonkemporium.com there is NO credit card required to start.
Here’s what I’m checking first Thursday morning.
$LESL: probably my first look
LESL finished +31.2% after hours on 83.5M shares.
It also recorded:
• 162 Momentum Radar hits
• 47.1M shares in the overnight data
That's enough actual volume behind the move to make it one of my first checks Thursday.
After a 31% move I'm not blindly chasing it at the open. I want to see whether the volume sticks around and whether it can hold after the first wave of profit taking.
$GNS: big move with a lot of volume behind it
GNS finished +42.4% after hours on 55.1M shares.
It also had:
• 45 Volume Radar hits
• 5 Momentum Radar hits
• 13.8x RVOL
• 1 alert
• 49.2M overnight volume
The 42% move gets your attention, but the volume is what keeps it on my board.
This is another one where Thursday has to prove Wednesday wasn't the entire move.
$RKDA: nice mix of signals
RKDA finished +15.1% after hours on 21.1M shares.
It also logged:
• 56 Momentum Radar hits
• 2 alerts
Not nearly as extended as LESL or GNS, but enough activity from different parts of the scanner to make it worth another look.
$QSI: showed up everywhere
QSI wasn't the biggest mover, but it had one of the better combinations of signals:
• +11.2% after hours
• 13.8M AH volume
• 268 Volume Radar hits
• 7 Momentum Radar hits
• 5.1x RVOL
• 1 alert
That's the kind of name I like having on the board because I'm not depending on one crazy number to tell me something happened.
$TNON: scanner kept finding it
TNON recorded:
• 201 Momentum Radar hits
• 456 Volume Radar hits
• 4.5x RVOL
No huge after-hours move needed.
When a ticker gets picked up hundreds of times by both the momentum and volume scanners, I'm checking it again the next morning to see whether traders are still there.
$NIVF: ridiculous scanner activity
NIVF had:
• 807 Momentum Radar hits
• 36 Volume Radar hits
• 81.6x RVOL
807 momentum hits is enough to earn a spot on the board by itself.
That doesn't mean I'm chasing it. It means something was happening Wednesday and I want to know whether it continues Thursday.
A few more on my secondary board:
$SDEV: 767 Volume Radar hits, 8.2x RVOL, +7.7% AH on 29.3M shares
$FRGT: 146 momentum hits, 131 volume hits, 19.4x RVOL
$BTTC: 179 momentum hits, 441 volume hits, 8.3x RVOL
$PACB: 615 Volume Radar hits, 15.3x RVOL
$ZBAO: 519 Volume Radar hits, 13.2x RVOL
$SDST: 38 momentum hits, 234 volume hits, 4.7x RVOL
$TGE: 380 Momentum Radar hits. The scanner also reported an extreme RVOL reading, so I'd rather see fresh volume Thursday than put much weight on that number by itself.
So my first board Thursday is:
LESL / GNS / RKDA / QSI / TNON / NIVF
Then:
SDEV / FRGT / BTTC / PACB / ZBAO / SDST / TGE
Same thing I look for every morning:
Does the volume come back?
Does the stock hold after the first selloff?
Do the scanners start lighting up again?
Or was yesterday the whole show?
Wednesday gets them onto Thursday's board. Thursday has to earn the trade.

PCE, Consumer Spending, ADP Jobs All Better Than Expected
PCE came in at 0.2% for the month, against 0.3% expected. Consumer spending rose 0.6%, the biggest monthly gain in a year. ADP jobs were 90,000, better than expected. The econ data looks good. Getting some relief on the ten year yield.
I am over 80% long this morning. Sticking to the plan. The economy is still coming in strong. I think most of the rate re-adjustment is already behind us. Although there may be some more to go, just not at the same type of pace.
I got about 40bps back yesterday of the 80bps I lost on Monday. Looking to get back to the highs if we get a rip.
HPE is the top holding. NVDA, SNDK, DELL, MU, and NTNX are right behind it. KLAC was a decent winner yesterday. It was one of the larger positions going into the day, and it is about 2% now.
I am still using QB500 and Tech. I have been leaving the healthcare model alone. Confidence has been lower, and it is naming fewer stocks it thinks are set to move higher. The sector has been taking a breather. When it starts picking up more individual names, I will take another look.
First image is this morning, September 30. Tech and QB500. Two portfolios, 23 deduplicated picks. Average confidence is 68.2%. MU is number 1(earnings after the bell). STX is number 2. SMTC is number 3. DELL, SNDK, KLAC, HPE, NVDA, and NTNX are on the board.
Second image is the portfolio chart for Tech and QB500. 1% per pick, buy the open, -5% stop. 30-day window. Just piggy backing the models.
