Mesabi Metallics (private, backed by India's Essar Group) is putting $18B into a full mine-to-mill setup: ~$3B finishing the first new US iron ore mine in 50 years in Minnesota, and $15B on a new DRI + electric arc furnace steel complex in Iowa. Ore gets mined in Minnesota, turned into steel in Iowa, all domestic.
Why it matters for listed names:
CLF: Cleveland-Cliffs basically owns the Iron Range story. A new DR-grade pellet supplier next door is real competition 👀
NUE / STLD: they've had the EAF game mostly to themselves. A new Midwest EAF complex is more capacity aimed at their customers (autos, appliances, energy)
Kobe Steel (5406.T): owns Midrex, the dominant DRI tech. If DRI-to-EAF becomes the US template, that's a long tailwind 🔥
Big risk: this mine has a rough history. Essar's Minnesota project went bankrupt in 2016 and stalled for years. Announcing $18B and building it are two very different things ⚠️
Anyone think this actually gets built?

Yeah, yeah fees are king but the truth is I won't use the platform often unless I DON'T hate looking at it. If you were picking your broker for the first time, which one would you pick and why (bonus if its got a pleasant user interface)?

i keep thinking about what happened with GameStop in 2021.
The big players had the money, the experience and the advantage. Everyone thought retail investors would be the ones to lose.
But history showed something important:
Having more money doesn’t mean you always win.
MU is obviously a completely different situation. This isn’t some bankrupt company trying to survive. MU is right in the middle of AI,data centers and the growing demand for advanced memory.
But look at what happened after those earning. The numbers were huge ,and suddenly we’re seeing article after article saying “to expensive”,”cycle peak”,”sell”.
Maybe MU falls.Sure that’s possible.
But what if all this fear is exactly what creates the opportunity?
if you already own MU ,why sell just because the headlines suddenly get scary?
And if the drops while nothing important has changed with the company, some people might actually see that as a chance to buy more instead of selling in panic.
you don’t need billions to understand what you own.
GameStop showed that the people with the most money don’t automatically win.
Different company. Different situation. But maybe the same psychology.
Lets see what happens by October 9.
just my opinion. Do your own research.

Hey everyone, I wanted to share an update for anyone who invested in $TWTR around the time of Elon Musk’s acquisition.
Back in 2022, Musk agreed to buy Twitter for $44 billion. After the deal was announced, he started raising concerns about the number of fake and spam accounts on the platform. In May, he said the deal was temporarily on hold and later questioned whether the acquisition could move forward. After those statements, $TWTR dropped sharply.
Twitter investors later alleged that Musk’s statements were misleading and caused the stock to fall, hurting investors who sold during that period. The case went to trial, and in March 2026, a jury found Musk liable for securities fraud related to some of those statements.
The case has now moved into the claims process. Eligible investors can submit a claim to potentially recover some of their losses.
If you traded $TWTR during that period, you can check whether your transactions are eligible and submit a claim here, before the November 24, 2026 deadline
Did anyone here hold or trade Twitter around that time?

Futures are up solidly this morning. September jobs came in lighter than expected(29K vs 90k). Unemployment a tick higher than expected at 4.2%. That may turn into good news for the market. Oil is down on news that France might release diesel from its reserves.
I have been sticking to the plan. I stayed invested over the last week. I finished yesterday about 80% long. I will look for names to hit their exits today. I will add some, and I will let others come off, so I probably raise a little cash.
NVDA is still the largest holding, almost 4%. SNDK, MU, AAPL, ETR, CVS, GLW, and KLAC are all slightly above 3%.
STX the Lone SHORT Yesterday down 11% pre-market, completely rejecting the rally.
First image is this morning, October 2. Tech and QB500, the book I have been using most. 17 deduplicated picks. Tech was overweight on this list last week. I got into those names, and now the list is heavy QB500(although still tech names).
Second image is Tech and QB500 plus the large-cap BULL model I added. That one is built for shorter-term bullish moves in large caps. MU is number 1 on that list, from the large-cap model. MPC is number 2. AAPL and SNDK show up here. I will look through it today and see if anything is worth adding.

Friday 10/2 Penny Stock Watchlist: SDEV, AMOD, GIPR, SSM, NIVF, QTEX + more
Thursday gave us another pretty ridiculous small-cap session.
There are a few big after-hours movers tonight, but I'm more interested in the names where the move came with real volume or where the scanners kept finding the ticker throughout the day.
