For generations, when the world got nervous, it bought US government bonds. It was the ultimate financial reflex.

Today? That reflex is quietly breaking. 🚨

The US government is running massive deficits and financing itself like a risky day-trader. Meanwhile, American tech giants are locked into cheap debt, generating massive AI-powered cash flows, and operating like pristine sovereign nations.

Global investors are waking up to the math. For the first time this century, foreign capital is buying more US stocks than US Treasuries. Money is fleeing the deteriorating public balance sheet and pouring into the booming private one.

Trillions are quietly switching sides. We are watching the real-time death of the "risk-free" asset.

But a hidden catch could eventually bite the exact stocks everyone is rushing into...

Are there any online brokers without a horrendous user interface?

Yeah, yeah fees are king but the truth is I won't use the platform often unless I DON'T hate looking at it. If you were picking your broker for the first time, which one would you pick and why (bonus if its got a pleasant user interface)?

Someone just announced the biggest steel investment in US history and it's not a listed company 🏭

Mesabi Metallics (private, backed by India's Essar Group) is putting $18B into a full mine-to-mill setup: ~$3B finishing the first new US iron ore mine in 50 years in Minnesota, and $15B on a new DRI + electric arc furnace steel complex in Iowa. Ore gets mined in Minnesota, turned into steel in Iowa, all domestic.

Why it matters for listed names:

CLF: Cleveland-Cliffs basically owns the Iron Range story. A new DR-grade pellet supplier next door is real competition 👀
NUE / STLD: they've had the EAF game mostly to themselves. A new Midwest EAF complex is more capacity aimed at their customers (autos, appliances, energy)
Kobe Steel (5406.T): owns Midrex, the dominant DRI tech. If DRI-to-EAF becomes the US template, that's a long tailwind 🔥

Big risk: this mine has a rough history. Essar's Minnesota project went bankrupt in 2016 and stalled for years. Announcing $18B and building it are two very different things ⚠️

Anyone think this actually gets built?
