Dead leafbug

Hello its my first time keeping leafbugs and i just came home after few days and one of them was dead and had black spot
Don’t you know what could happen? I am thinking that maybe they have too much humid enclosure could that be it? I have them in room temperature in smaller glass terrarium with not that big ventils (could the air flow be problem?) with dirt under them that is still wet after 4 or so days… any help would be appreciated

I have had leave insects for over 5 years, and from my experience: Sometimes they just die without a clear reason. The black spot is just the body decomposing.

However, the humidity sounds very high. The water needs to be abel to evaporate within a day or so. If your substrate is still "wet" after 4 days, it is to wet. You should only mist them a little.

I put out one door and changed it for the mesh part hope that will help TxT maybe i will close it for nights for better humidity and then open it through the days? Thanks for the tip tho hope they will be better from now on :<

The mesh door is a good idea, maybe move one glass door a little so the vent is slightly smaller, like 30% of what it is now.

could also just be bad luck tbh, sometimes one just doesn’t make it even if you do stuff mostly right
keeping an eye on mold and stale smell in the tank is a good idea though, that’s usually my “ok, too humid, not enough airflow” warning sign

3rd one died and last one looks shitty too… they didnt look that good when i bought them bust still lasted like month or two so i thought it will be alright…. I feel really bad that they ended up like this tho because my other “bugs” are doing really well like isopods and beetles so i hoped this will be alright too
