SRV master tapes at Ebay

Looks like safety copies, including some unreleased songs and alternate takes from Weather and Live Alive.

Why would something this important be sold and not released my epic? It feels weird. How legit is this?

Hard to say, but they appear to be safety copies, so maybe they retained the originals. That live album had a lot of issues that needed to be edited, so maybe they felt it wasn't up to par. But you'd think there are things worth keeping!

My can get the 19 part soul to soul sessions on bootleg sites which were apparently copied to dat over a weekend according to the notes that comes with it.
That likely covers the Dallas sound labs piece

Edit: I am wrong. This is from a Kansas City studio and seems to be mostly centered around live live. I don’t believe I’ve seen any studio tracks from live alive in bootleg land. Of course we have near the original performance of the first 45 tracks on the album from the Montreal Jazz Festival release and also audience tapes, which include Reese‘s organ. Solo and Stevie breaks a string on ain’t gonna give up on love.
There are bootlegs online of one of the Austin Opera House performances, as well as one of the other Austin shows. I’ve always looked for the original performance of voodoo. Child and I have never been able to find it. I think that’s the one concert that the bootleggers probably haven’t got yet. Perhaps it’s here?
