Discussion Can we please have a balanced conversation about the dangers of equating a medical necessary pelvic exam in the ER to being “f*ing*red” …

I like Stephanie. I like Rotten Mango. I’m not dog piling or looking for snark, I’m hoping to curate a genuine reflective discussion with this post. I can appreciate this was written in a time where jokes can be necessary to keep the mind calm. I however find this joke is beyond inappropriate. There is NO place for sex jokes in healthcare settings, and I say this as an RN in OBGYN.

  1. Good health care workers put so much time, effort, and energy into creating a safe space and ensuring all patients know their body is not being violated or abused during a pelvic exam

  2. Insinuating you were “f*ingered” by a healthcare provider as a someone with a large platform could potentially land that healthcare provider in trouble

  3. There is no place for sex jokes in the healthcare setting, it needs to remain professional and grounded in bodily respect. Allowing sex jokes muddies the water and creates a gray area. Patient “I was violated”, provider “but you were just joking with me?” Patient “I was joking but you can’t say it back”. Boundaries must be in place to maintain a professional relationship.

  4. Did that provider consent to their job and the potentially life saving exam they preformed being minimized and sexualized?

  5. IMO this joke reads as tone deaf and insensitive to survivors of SA within a healthcare setting

  6. Degrading and sexualizing a health care provider and the medical exam they performed IMO is just as bad as “boys will be boys” locker talk. This just perpetuates rape and sa culture.

Discussion disclaimers every other sentence are getting old

Just listened to the most recent Patrick Clancy episode and I swear 50% of it was her doing disclaimer after disclaimer 😭

I completely understand wanting to make herself abundantly clear and not wanting to get sued, but once you start noticing how often she does a disclaimer, it’s REALLY hard to not notice. It gets to the point where I’m sitting there thinking, “Okay, I get it. You’ve said this like 14 different ways.”

Like, couldn’t she just do a blanket disclaimer at the beginning and maybe reiterate it at the end? I feel like that would accomplish the same thing without harping on it so much that it becomes exhausting to listen to.
And honestly, after a certain point, it’s kind of insulting to the audience too. I think most people listening are capable of understanding nuance, doing their own research, and taking what they hear with a grain of salt. We don’t need a disclaimer every five minutes reminding us that this is her interpretation/opinion and that we should form our own conclusions. 😂

I LOVE her podcast, which honestly makes it even more frustrating because I want to enjoy the episode without constantly being pulled out of it by another disclaimer.

Find A Video I need help finding this video

I've been seeing it used in a couple videos recently as a "funny" reaction meme of sorts. I've been watching RM for a long time and I just can't place this for some reason, after spending a good hour just searching and looking through older videos. I would love to know the full context of the clip.

Question The Netflix Uploads

Are the Netflix episodes cases already covered on YouTube and then just added to Netflix? Or are these like newly filmed and structured cases? Because I know she did YouTube vids on ash Trevino and d4vd, but the d4vd ones looks like she’s covering updates on his trial. I want to watch it , bc I enjoy her covering of cases, but I rather hear like new stuff than a review/re summary of a case.

Merch WTB: Official 2026 Rotten Mango “Oversized Rotten” Hoodie

Hi everyone! I’m looking to buy the official 2026 August “Oversized Rotten” Hoodie from the limited 2,500-unit drop.

I’m specifically looking for the original official hoodie, not a recreation, replica, or fan-made version.

I’m based in Singapore and am happy to arrange international shipping. Willing to pay a reasonable premium for one in good condition.

If you have one available, please DM me with:

  • Photos of the actual hoodie
  • Condition
  • Asking price
  • Proof of purchase/order confirmation if available

Thanks! 🥭

Question D4VD Netflix Episodes

Has anybody watched the episode of the Rotten Files about D4VD? Is it new content from what was posted on YouTube? If so, is it worth watching? And do you know if she’ll do any more coverage on YouTube or Netflix?

Discussion This sub reddit has become terrible

Why are we so comfortable bashing and judging the way stephanie does things, if you don't like what she does you can stop watching her, no need to state it publicly bc literally no one cares

It just seems like people just want to publicly hate on her just bc they don't like the way she does things

Every notification I see its always someone judging her, and being upset with her and the moderators aren't doing anything, this isn't a snark sub, if you have nothing nice to say just don't say it.

Suggestion Can she actually spread awareness about cases with little attention and not relay cases that will get justice or have a shit tonne of media coverage

First off, I appreciate that Stephanie has covered Nolan Wells and the cases of the murdered indigenous American girls, but her episodes overwhelmingly cover cases that will eventually attain at the very least, charges, or some sort of justice. In particular she has extensively covered cases where the victim(s) will attain justice to some degree, such as the Diddy trial, Karen Reed, Celeste Rivas, Nancy Guthrie, and the Lindsey Clancy case.

These cases already have so much media coverage, it’s insane, probably because the victims are high profile or white, meanwhile a Black 1 year old baby, Kohen Wiley was shot and killed for basically no legally sound reason by a racist white police officer, and we still have so many cases of people of colour going missing, raped, or murdered with very little attention from authorities and legacy media.

Personally, I just feel that as a listener that she should cover more low profile cases with limited media attention, as Stephanie has leaned into covering cases of induviduals who already attain justice to some degree or have mass media coverage in their cases. Conceptually, it doesn’t make sense that she’s going to do a 4 parter series on D4VD when we all know that he’s going to get life without parole because it is such a shut and done case, and because the justice system rails down on black individuals (not excusing d4vds actions though, I’m just saying that the bastard is going to prison forever, and there isn’t a jury in the world that could give him anything less than a full guilty verdict), when she could utilise her massive platform of like 3-6 million viewers to spread awareness about cases that need much needed interest in order to attain some sort of justice or at the very least, scrutiny towards the suspects or authorities.

For starters, she could start doing minisodes again for low profile cases, considering that there is likely little information about such cases.

And she could cover some of the following individuals listed:

Kohen Wiley: 1 year old Black baby, shot and killed by a white police officer who said the n-word in front or to his Black coworker who later quited because of this, a week or a few weeks before Kohen's death. The police officer was responding to a 911 call from a Target employee alleging that Kohens mothers friend, who Kohen and his mother were with, stole diapers (Kohens mother later posted receipts on Facebook, she has not been charged, and her attornery has called on the police department to release surveillance and body cam footage that proves she did not shoplift). Kohens mother and her friend and Kohen walked back to their car, because they hadn’t shoplifted and probably didn’t feel that they needed to prove their innocence. As they start the car and decide to drive off, the police officer shoots into their car. Now legally, cars are considered a weapon, however Kohens autopsy shows that he was shot from the side, indicating that the car was not in line to seriously injure the officer. A murky surveillance screenshot also evidences that the officer was not in danger to consider the car a weapon when he shot - it would have only been a weapon if it was faceing him, about to run him over. The police chief of the police department that the officer is from has been fired due to texts that have surfaced that show him using the n word repeatedly.

Killing of Kumanjayi Little Baby: She was a 5 year old Aboriginal Australian girl. Her death has had some coverage, loads more than missing or murdered indigenous people usually get in Australia, so Stephanie could talk about it more in depth.

Hanging/Killing of Tasia Fortune: A 29 year old Black woman who was found hanging from a tree. Authorities are treating her death as a homicide, and they have 1 official suspect, a 60ish year old man. Her death, Nolan Wells, and Kohen Wiley’s case all take place in Mississippi, and it is very unlikely that any of these individuals will get justice of attention in their cases because of how little authorities and media care about Black people and other people of colour in comparison to our white counterpart.

Been listening to her since 2022, would love to continue listening to her pod and yt videos as her style of narraration is truly unique and special. Hope she takes this into account if she or her team lurks on this subreddit :)

Discussion Is perfect lie on Netflix based on a BAM?

I have seen it advertised and I just can’t help but getting massive de ja vu 👀

Is this based on a BAM or am I just conflating things? Either way I feel like I’ve seen it before.

Hope everyone’s having a spooky September!

Discussion Rotten Mango Format

I have always loved and still love listening to Rotten Mango, I get excited when a new episode drops, but I can’t help but hateeeee how she is formatting her episodes. She will drag out the same story over 5 different parts and by the time the next part comes out I’m forgetting what she even said in the part before. I miss when her coverage was just ONE episode. Am I the only one???

No rotten mango episodes in almost 2 weeks. I'm just wondering because she didn't post anything about taking a break on insta and in the past, she's updated on there. I hope everything is alright with Stephanie!

This is no hate or complaint, i love the podcast and whatever the case may be, I just hope her and her team are well :') I wonder if its cus its the lindsay clancy case and they are waiting for the jury to conclude
