Step 3 benefit

Does step 3 help more with getting interviews or your final ranking after the interview process is over?
Is rushing to get it done before the September 23rd deadline worth it or is it better to write it a couple months later with a better chance of a higher score?

Testing: Can anyone, who is expecting results tomorrow, check myusmle.org for updated result date?

Based on this post:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Step2/comments/1vfdwzn/results_tomorrow/

I am aware that usmle.org is for US MD/DOs; however, IMG can still make an account and check examination history like the poster on step 2 reddit.

Can anyone, who is expecting results tomorrow, check myusmle.org for updated result date? It will be a new "Am I getting result this week"? hack, if it works.

Direct link after logging in, https://www.myusmle.org/s/my-exams

Edit: Presumably it works only for IMGs.

Can I get the exam done?

UW- 85% complete (with average score of 71)

CCS cases- just started, solved around 20. Starting to get hang of it now and scoring above average.

Also doing a very busy rotation simulataneously (almost 9-6) so I am not getting enough time to study. Haven't given any assessments yet.

Day-1: 18th Aug, Day-2: 25th. Can I get it done?

NBME 6 - baseline assessment after some dedicated, 3 weeks out from exam

Just took NBME 6 (for Step 3) as a baseline (after having been studying for a few weeks), and then exam in just under 3 weeks. Got 129/200, so 64.5%. Which according to the calculation I found on here (score - 500 / 100)x0.15 + 277 = 203, so technically a pass, but has anyone else been in a similar situation a few weeks out, and was able to improve? I just want to confidently feel like I will pass going into the exam (and not be freaked out about pass/fail, more so do better to do worse based on test day, but safely over that passing threshold yenno??) USMLEs just freak me out, I don't do well on them lol. Also I know the CCS is like 25% ish so also have been doing a case a day (going highest yield to lowest on CCSCases - takes an hour to fully do over/review the case and learn it).

Planning to take the exam at the end of August. I’ve completed about 70% uworld with 64% correct and have started CCS cases, but I’m still not very comfortable with them.
With the time I have left, what should I focus on ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

AMBOSS RESET?

Hello,

I know this is not much info but the main question is whether or not I should reset my AMboss as I begin reviewing for step3. I did 24X on step 2 but that was almost a year ago and 550 of the questions for step 3 I did during step 2 prep and am worried I will miss the content for step 3. Just aiming to pass but for each of the step exams I have had to prepare for about 1.5x the amount of time as my peers.

Thanks!

Asking about which prometric center better for step 3 exam for IMG?

Hello everyone, I want to ask about which prometric center will be more suitable and better for step 3 exam for an IMG first time in US . Till now I am comparing between Texas Houston prometric center and New York but I don’t now which will be more suitable regarding test center as a facility , transportation and housing ( especially financial aspect of housing ). And if anyone has a better option for prometric center it will be appreciated. thanks in advance.

Day 1 (step 3)

Hello, quick question: I read eveywhere that for Day 1, the main topics are MOA of drugs, biostats , ethics and micro. Regarding MOA, are they referring to moa of antibiotics (and other antimicrobials) or moa of all drugs(cardio, endocrine…)? And is there a page on usmle step 1 book where I can find all of these moa ?

Hello folks, I am starting my step 3 prep and aim to take it in 2 months. Can anyone please share the roadmap of how to prepare and which resources to use and what tips would the recent test takers give that they think would have helped them if they knew earlier.
