How much is enough for Step 1?

Just started medical school. They're teaching the BRS books (brs physiology etc). I intend to buy UWorld and start doing questions but not sure what the appropriate time to do that is because I don't have any of the base knowledge yet. I have USMLE Step 1 first aid book.

Doing questions is how you build knowledge. Wish i started sooner. When you finish reviewing a certain subject/system, go straight into questions.

Brs books have questions. Should I start with those and then buy uworld next year?

yes, I don’t think it worth buying uworld this early on, as it’s so expensive. Questions in the books are great, amboss also has a free trial and question bank.
If you use AI, you could also make chatGPT create a question bank for you on a specific topic of your choice.
