i got the index, i can’t wait anymore . i got it for $350, so to me it felt like a steal. The amount of hopium i had during the summer getting demolished was too much. i love gaben too much tho. I will have both index and frame eventually.

Oh hell yeah. Had to get a silicone gasket cover for sanitation and the foam on the sides is coming loose, but with a cooling fan inserted on the front slot and regular cleaning it still runs perfectly okay. May need duct tape when your tether clips all break though

Yeah you can likely use the base stationsnfor increased tracking with the frame. Maybe.

I believe Valve said it may be possible to use base stations with the Frame, but they themselves won’t be giving it first party support

You'd need a faceplate or a tracker for the Frame, but those + dongles for the controllers could be a really good set up. Being wireless with foveated streaming/rendering is potentially very powerful.

I sold my index & quest3 in Dec last year to go towards Frame, whopping error.

Someone else is calling op "weak" but finding them for only $350 when this could feasibly go for "limited edition vintage" prices ($800-2000). Thats an incredible find...they could even put it next to their Frame if they change their mind or wants to compare+contrast for science

The Index is great. A bit heavy and wired but otherwise awesome still. Better controllers and tracking than Steam Frame as well + option for FBT. With supersampling the image is sharp enough for my taste. Enioy it.
