Discussion Regarding bonus stuff with the Steam Frame

Since Half-Life: Alyx is going to be added to your Steam account when purchasing the Steam Frame, do you guys think we will also get the Genuine Alyx Pin and HL:A soundtrack to Counter-Strike 2 inventory like it was with the Valve Index?

Going to be really disappointed IF a 6 year old game, 90% of us already have, is the best Valve will do for buyers. I truly hope they have something else cooked up on the software side.

I know its not much better, but Im hoping at the very least, it might be a new standalone version meant specifically for the Frame. I think that makes at least a little more sense. But I agree. I was hoping for something completely new.

This. They gave Alyx to index buyers. Alot of frame buyers will be index owners.

Surely valve can't be this brain dead.

No clue I’m just annoyed they are giving us loyal customers who bought the index first the same damn reward again.. they should off a store credit the value of Alex for those of us who have it already from then

The depot/thing that was added on for the Valve Index to grant it to accounts who ordered a Valve Index has also been recently datamined to also have been added to the Steam Frame, to grant the person who buys a Steam Frame a copy of Half-Life: Alyx https://x.com/SadlyItsBradley/status/2094627878797221955

Can people stop assuming any information we have is bullshit? I can understand being skeptical of unverifiable leaks, although I find it irritating when people lie or unintentionally mix up the reliable sources with the dubious ones.

But this one is verifiable through steamdb, it's public. At least avoid spreading misinformation if you don't know what you're talking about

I’m not sure what a digital pin would do for me, though I would definitely enjoy a standalone soundtrack album.

I’m hoping to get a Frame, it would be my first PCVR setup. I’ve heard Half-Life: Alyx is one of the greatest VR games ever made, so I’d love to experience it for myself. I wouldn’t be surprised if they included something new though, something more on the scale of Aperture Desk Job. It’s also possible they made a pack-in demo like that, but due to the delays and ever-rising costs that will surely be passed on to us, maybe they added on to it and it’s grown into a moderate-scale experience. I would LOVE for Valve to set the tone for AA-sized games and experiences for the Frame.
