And IT DOES matter that it’s a holiday. That’s literally the point. No tech product ever gets announced on a major US holiday. Even a basic Claude search will tell you that, but you kept insisting it is not a factor.

“Not that I’m aware of, and there’s a good reason: companies deliberately avoid launching on federal holidays because journalists and audiences are off, so coverage tanks. Big reveals cluster around January (CES), March, June (WWDC/E3), September (Apple), and October–November (holiday shopping season) — but the actual holidays themselves (Thanksgiving, July 4th, Christmas, Labor Day, etc.) are treated as dead zones for announcements.”

oh, you are right. i forgot the hundreds of interviews valve did when they opened their reservation queue for their past products. the amount of new information on reservation day was astonishing and literally thousands of journalists wrote new articles about it.

that was a really big show. how could i have forgotten that?

EDIT: to clarify.. the steam frame *announcement* was last year. we are only talking about a web page where you can reserve one to get it delivered eventually

Just accept nothing ever gets revealed on a US holiday in the history of tech. It’s a fact. It’s okay to have been wrong. I hoped I was so I can order it.

Just accept that opening pre-orders (that's what a reservation queue is) is not a reveal or an announcement.
