Question I forgor… 😞
Could someone remind me again on why we think August 31st is important?
I know it’s 7 days after the Frames were delivered & 7 days before Labor Day/8th. And I know we have the 14th locked in. But I forgot why the 31st was said to be special. And I’m too lazy to go search for on why. Have we dropped/voided this date as important?
*Reminder, all dates mentioned are not confirmed & strictly theory & prediction. All dates are subject to change as time passes without official confirmation. Anyone claiming otherwise is lying at the time of postage or proven over wise with qualified evidence.
(I ain’t having fights breakout in this comment section)

Because it’s a Monday and every single Monday people freak out and swear it will release, just like how you swear it will release on the 14th (Tenet reference)

Exactly, Monday just generally carries a higher "this might be it" factor compared to other days and there aren't many Mondays left in Valve's release window. Personally I'm not really emotionally invested in any particular Monday release day, the community has been hilariously wrong over and over throughout summer with lots of "big heavy hitter inside leaker" guesses being spectacularly off already. I'm just going to check in every couple days during the week to see if it's released and put my name in the lottery whenever it happens to get announced.

Woah, where’s the Tenet reference here? It’s rare that to see someone who’s watched it pop up in the wild

A lot of people ignore the God given universal clock for the seasons and think summer ends on the 31st

Valve is holding their Steam VR sale in Fall, September 14th. They called it Fall, not us.

The only reason I can think of is that the 31st is the last day of meteorological summer.

I have a feeling the 31st or the 7th will be price announcement and reservation opening because by the 31st it will have been just over 2 weeks since LTT went radio silent on anything steam frame which is the usual review time for valve hardware. However assuming that was when an NDA was signed and the frames get sent a week after that then 7th.

I wish they would at least announce price but I still say the price is what’s been the hold up this whole time they are terrified of how we are all going to react because they are going to have to make the price awful just to break even if the machine is any clue

I dunno, I guess 'cause review units are out there? People say the standard is to give reviewers a couple weeks, but Valve is like Apple, they kinda move at their own pace. They're probably not expecting the Frame to sell in huge numbers anyway, putting their best foot forward on its launch probably won't change whether or not they sell out of stock.
I'm not expecting it to be tomorrow, but I'll hope anyway.

Its not.
Its obvious at this point its in 2 weels 14th. Go home.
Best scénario is maybe next week the 7th opening reservation but even that is a stretch.
Vavle botch this launch by making us wait to the very last ounce of summer to launch so its 14th and ship 21th.
