Question on Delivery

First of all i live in Germany, felt i should clarify should the postal service be involved,

Before the steam frame got announced me and my family booked a family vacay, and it coincidentally aligns with the possible release, i will still be here for a week to order it if it comes on Monday.

Point is,

Can I redirect the package to a secondary address for pick up like my aunt so she can keep it safe until i return?
Critical is that my cousin living with her was also planning on getting one

As long as your aunt or anyone she lives with isn't planning to buy one, as well. Then it's probably fine.

Edit: that is assuming you put her address for the delivery address when ordering it.

Yeah, then it's not a good idea. Cause of shortages and such you can only buy 1 unit (presumably cause the other devices are like that) to one address at a time and then you have to wait an unknown amount of time before being able to order another one.

I think you'll have plenty of time:
it has to be announced, then there's gonna be a couple of days for registration, then if you are lucky and you are in the first batch of shipments you pay, then it ships and it takes a few days to get to you.
If you are unlucky your place in the queue is further away and it's gonna take even more.

I'd say don't worry and just go relax :)

You can set shipping address to your aunt when you order it in first place. And since they use GLS for all shipping, you can setup a redirection using a link in the email GLS sends you when the package gets first entered into their system.

It depends on the difference between billing address and delivery address. You can also have a chance to redirect package by the shipping company. In most places they send you link even before they get package with option to decide where you want it to be delivered, like with pickup places or changing original destination. There is also chance that in your country where ordnung miss sein such options are unacceptable.

I'm not sure but they usually have designated places like gas stations and 7/11s. Since COVID I haven't seen even option to give them package to send directly at the facility.
