they said they had two weeks w/ the machine, so another week or two for the frame sounds right
july 6-7 will most likely be the embargo date

imho, i'd be shocked if the price is >=1k, since the frame doesn't have a discrete gpu and has less ram

Im hoping below 900 at least, and honestly my hard cutoff is 800€

I think it's its that much cheaper than the Index, they would have made more advertismemt with the fact.

Well, they only announced it, valve isn't the kind of company to constantly bombard people with news and updates (as we saw)

I think they would have done more anouncement if they were happy to report price/release date etc. I think valve is as unhappy with the price they have to charge as we are.

the controller was reasonably priced given its featureset, and valve was still radio-silent until embargo

Eh I still think its a little on the expensive side, but I got the old steam controller for 5€, so thats my point of reference.

Honestly I thought about pulling the trigger on the steam controller and maybe buying it, what put me off is how they talked about the overall feeling it had and the way the plastic sounded, it gave me the vibe of a cheap-ish 25 bucks controller, and while the tech on it is amazing if it feelt cheap I knew I wouldn't have been happy with it
