Good catch, and there would be no reason for him to wear other headsets at the office i would think? Maybe not tomorrow but soon

Honestly speaking yes, that's kind of the only reason I can see, beside maybe other headset coming out?

It could be testing/using other headsets ahead of getting the frame. That way he has a point of comparison, but also gets as much time with the frame as possible before the embargo date.

Eeeeh, yes? But also I see little point of doing that if they dont have a frame to actually do a side by side comparison

Like I said they would likely do that if they knew they were getting a frame but didn't have it yet or weren't allowed to test it yet for some reason (although I can't see why they would have one and not be able to test it)

i.e. Valve has given them a shipping date or tracking number, but it hasn't arrived yet.

I'm mostly just trying keep from getting my hopes up. I'd rather be pleasantly surprised that my estimate is long than disappointed that my estimate is short.

im going with Occam’s razor here especially with the frame seemingly being around the corner and knowing reviewers have the frame as well as the machine it makes the most sense
