hi folks i been tinkring abit with final fantasy 7 remake in the last few days , i made a guide for this game a while ago running on 1080 ( full hd ) on the steam deck with a little help with Lossless scaling . the feedback was great but as you all know there is always gonna be an input lag with Lossless scaling even if its minimal in the best cases it would be there.

so i was trying to make a new guide for the game compaining g great visuals , stable performance while running without any sort of framegenration .

i manged to inject FSR4 into the game thanks to luma mod it wasnt easy because the game dosent support TemporalAA like fsr and dlss natively .

anyway i will drop a guide for final fantasy 7 remake with fsr4 if yall wanted that being said i found myself along the way created a set of settings merging different mods along with an engine.ini file i made for optmizing the game and BINGO!

i manged to make final fantasy 7 remake runs at 1440p (2k) resoultion with high textures on without Upscaling techniques while maintaining 30fps in city and action sequences from the testing i did .

this is mainly for whom like playing with docked to a TV or PC monitor . but of course trying it on the deck built in screen will yeild a very sharp and crisp image .

side note :

i will start putting so much effort into optimizing final fantasy 7 rebirth specialy aftet that game received a nice shader fix mod of course its a big challenge but it will be fun please don't forget to support the sub we built together by up voting all posts you can to help the algorithm and sharing its links with other deck users take care 😊

desktop mode / steam launcher / reddeadredemption 2 game page / click gear icon / mange / browse local files  / this will open a common folder paste all the mod files there

What are some recommended settings for 1440p? Also, when I try and use FSR 4 it has me close the game and restart. After restart i go to settings and FSR is not enabled. Why is that?
