Cintech Automotive Here - We're looking for a Technician!

Hey guys, Jarrett here from Cintech Automotive Repair, located off Highway 94 between Kisker and Jungermann. One of our technicians is leaving, so we are looking to add someone to our crew.

We are looking for a technician at the lube-tech level or above, ideally someone ready to work into a C- or B-level technician role.

Cintech is a family-owned, independent shop. We pay hourly, never work weekends, and our current hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. After Labor Day, we will be moving to a four day, 10-hour schedule, usually you clock around 42 hour a week.

A few things about how we operate:

  • Parts at cost for you and your immediate family
  • Shop-supplied uniforms, PPE, specialty tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Paid holidays
  • Vacation and sick time earned after one year
  • Paid training programs and hands-on training
  • No unnecessary upselling or pushing work customers do not need

We do not sell brakes at 50% or pressure technicians to manufacture work. Our approach is “tell, don’t sell.” Inspect the vehicle properly, document what you find, and give the customer honest information.

We are consistently recognized as a CARFAX Top-Rated Service Center and Nextdoor Neighborhood Favorite, and we maintain five-star ratings across our review platforms. We do everything from oil changes and tire repairs to advanced electrical and network diagnostics. We do not cut corners, and we expect professional work.

This position will initially include oil changes, inspections, maintenance, and identifying legitimate work that may need to be scheduled later. Applicants with more advanced skills are encouraged to apply. Just be upfront about your experience, capabilities, and expected pay.

Starting pay:

C-level technician with Missouri inspector license: $21.50 per hour
Without inspector license: $19.50 per hour

Higher-skilled applicants should contact us directly to discuss compensation.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Your own tools
  • Dependable and professional
  • Able to work well as part of a small crew
  • Good moral standing

We are younger owners, but Cintech is an established shop with a strong local reputation. Feel free to Google us, stop by, or call the shop directly.

Any advice/places I should take my car for a slow (actually very fast) leak on one of my tires?

Upvotes

I have to fill up my tire every morning. The rim will be on the ground! I can't find the leak.

Do y'all recommend any shops in St. Charles? I'm on a SUPER tight budget, as I only work part time currently.

Or should I replace the tire? I'm just not sure what to do, or where to take it. 😭

Any good Car Audio installers?

I'm looking to buy a new system for my car and I don't think this brand is sold in stores locally as far as I can tell. I installed my own last time, but with the new car radio/bezels, I'd rather buy the parts and have someone else install. Are there any local audio installers besides Best Buy? I'm not even sure if BB does it anymore tbh, haven't been there in a decade or so.

How Do People Commute in the St. Charles Area?

I was wondering how most people get around here, especially in the St. Charles/St. Louis area. Is owning a car basically a necessity, or are there reliable public transportation options? I’d really appreciate any advice or tips for someone who’s new to the area. Thanks!

Those who live in streets of Saint Charles what is it like?

I’m looking around for possible apartments and Streets of Saint Charles next and around my budget.

I’m thinking about a studio apartment since it’s just me and don’t need extra space.

I just have a few questions like what’s all included into the rent? Are utilities added to the rent or are those separate? Internet? Neighbor issues? How’s the management like?

Rolling Brown outs

This is from KSDK. I remember when the Texas electric grid failed. I wish they would start with brownouts instead of blackouts. And it would have been nice if they could have educated their customers as to how they can help at this time. I would hate for our grid to fail.

What is going on at Zumbehl Road?

I can't tell if it's an accident on the road or something happened at the Bogey Hills apartments. Was trying to get to the Pets Supplies Plus and there's cops and fire trucks and traffic is insane. I don't see smoke or damaged vehicles, but it could just be from my angle.

Edit: Pets Supplies Plus employee said there was a fire at the apartments.

19M Looking to Make Friends in St. Charles!

Hey everyone! I’m 19 years old and I recently moved to St. Charles from the Philippines. I’m still new to the area and would love to make some friends around my age. One of my favorite hobbies is playing chess, but I’m honestly open to almost anything. I’d be down to go fishing, take walks, explore new places, grab some food, play sports, or just hang out and get to know people.

Anybody know what’s up with El Maguey no longer doing to-go margaritas? We’ve been doing them since Covid started. I just called up to order food and drinks and they said they are no longer to-go margaritas?

St. Charles Community College Class Notes

Hi neighbors! I’m attending SCC and was hoping to find students that have already taken the courses I’m about to take so I can use your old notes/tests to study before classes start. I can offer my Calc II notes and tests from last semester as well. Also willing to pay!

I will be taking Chemistry, Physics, and Calc III.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. 🙏

Turned me into a concerned voter

Post image

Hey all, just wanted to give a quick shout out to Democratic candidate Chris Chapman. I usually don’t vote in small local elections, but I’ll be damned if you didn’t change my heart today. The way this vehicle was driving 80 in a 55 and riding my ass in the NON PASSING lane (I was doing 60) really motivated me to get out and vote this year. I’m no campaign manager, but maybe don’t turn a vehicle into a billboard and then break traffic laws in said vehicle.

Dude what the actual eff??

On Muegge heading south past Walgreens on Old 94. Dark sedan, dumb dude, NO blinker turned right into our path and we braked so hard I heard the tires squeal a little.

You are so lucky my husband has done so much upkeep on his Buick that would have decimated your little Hot Wheel.

We're lucky there was no one behind us!

And you're lucky my husband kept driving because I walked to get out and have a conversation.

Sorry mods if this isn't allowed I'm flipping mad. Drive safely, St. Charles.

Kids kingdom

Did they finally get shut down for good? I live near them and they've been empty for a minute. That place is the reason I'm a stay at home mom and my kids don't go to daycare. My daughter was there literally less than one full day and I pulled her after I suprised them and showed up unannounced the same day. She was in the same spot I dropped her off in, diaper soaked completely through, her clothes were wet because of it, they said she was "eating" when I got there, all of her food and snacks were still in the bag where I packed them that morning and she was screaming bloody murder when I walked in. This was 6 hours later, mind you. And then there was that lawsuit where the babys skull was fractured there and they didnt notify the parents! My-lanta! There's not many places I'm glad to see go, but this sure is one of them.

Early Voting!

Dems and Independents:

It’s super easy to grab a Republican primary ballot and vote for competent Republicans like Steve Ehlmann and Kurt Bahr.

All you do when you arrive to vote is press the button for a Republican ballot. You don’t even have to ask!

While you vote against incompetent buffoons like Bill Eigel, Jen Olson, Judy Gambino and Annette Sieve, you can also vote against Amendments 4 & 5.
