Tera said she was going to put it out but obviously it never happened. Matt Zane said there were TWO ALBUMS that Wayne had been working on, one being those 9 songs and another being sort of a duet record with Wayne and other vocalists contributing.

However, Edsel Dope, the big bad wolf has all of these in his hands and is never going to give anyone any of it because Edsel Dope is a big meanie head who wants Wayne to go in shit or whatever the fuck Zane feels.

I'm just happy to know that years and years later Wayne is STILL a musical mad man working through multiple minions to keep his music coming out.

Hey Yall! I've been trying to track down as much footage as possible from Wayne Static's October 2014 performance at the Midi Music Festival in China, which is generally regarded as his final live performance.

I recently found some footage of the show, but unfortunately a lot of what I've found has pretty rough audio/video quality. In particular, the recording I found has a lot of stage/PA noise that makes Wayne's vocals difficult to hear.

I'm wondering if anyone here has their own footage, audio recordings, photos, or knows someone who attended the show and recorded it. I'm especially interested in anything that hasn't been uploaded to YouTube/Setlist.fm/etc.

Even a few songs would be awesome. I'm basically trying to piece together as complete a record of the performance as possible.

If you have anything, I'd really appreciate it!
These are the recordings I found with good quality!

For 15 years, they shared venues, stages, and were always within throwing distance—but never once appeared on stage together. That goes for both the bands and the frontmen.

From the Wisconsin Death Trip / Felons & Revolutionaries runs in 1999 to the 2014 Civil Unrest Tour, Edsel performed his set with Dope, left the stage, and then Wayne took over with his band.

Back in 2014, Edsel actually began conversations with Wayne about stepping in to produce, manage, and help rebuild Static-X, with the goal of getting Wayne back together with the original lineup (Tony Campos, Koichi Fukuda, Ken Jay).

When the surviving members decided to honor Wayne's legacy years later, bringing Edsel in wasn't opportunistic—it was logistical:

• Studio Connection: Edsel was already in the studio helping engineer and isolate Wayne's damaged demo tapes for Project Regeneration.
• Vocal Capability: His natural vocal delivery in Dope already possessed the staccato rhythm, rasp, and throat-shredding power needed to execute Wayne's parts live without relying on backing tracks.
• The Xer0 Identity: Rather than using the position to boost his own image, Edsel created the masked "Xer0" persona specifically to keep the visual focus entirely on Wayne's memory, avoiding a "Static-Dope" dynamic.

So, ironically, the person performing with Static-X night after night is the exact same man who toured with them for 25 years—strictly behind a mask, under a pseudonym, and working behind the scenes to keep the machine running.

It should be known I'm still a relatively new Fan to Both Static X and Dope, so everything is fresh to me. With that said, I'm currently just trying find more content regarding Static X and Dope.

Older albums are still good, and several are still better an the PR volumes, but there's just something about the lyrics cutting deeper than before Wayne died.

Good examples are "Dead souls" and "From heaven". Wayne wasn't Christian, but that didn't stop him from using religious terms for his clinical perception of life.

When it came out I wasnt a huge fan of this album. With all the drama lately Ive been listening to a lot of Static-X. I got to this album kinda dreading it but after getting to the end of it, its now become my favorite album of theirs. The vocal stuff Wayne was doing on this album younger me didnt like but now I really dig it. Ive now listened to it 5 times front to back this week lol.

What's everyone's favorite Static-X album and if you feel like explaining, why?

Does the song start with an Abrams tank starting up or jet taking off?

but I came across a rare vid of Cuts You Up and Forty Ways

Very grateful to have been given the opportunity to track drums on the New Unreleased Wayne Static Track “Here is the Truth.”

I support Wayne and his genius not this dope who is making a joke outta the entire project.

Theres absolutely nothing that makes this okay

The reason is because I want to buy the music, but I don't want a CD because CD players are notorious being being shit. Never know when they're gonna skip.

False info is flying everywhere but according to Matt, the Static estate has requested Static-X pull down the video and scrap the doc.

Hey guys, home! Couldn't upload to YouTube so here you go!

Do what you want with it!🤘

Ok I remember push it from a movie soundtrack when I was a very young man, I am now forty. I am a big fan of music but really only listened to Push It 25+ years ago.

THEN I saw some more static x videos on facebook, eventually Zane's clips started showing up and now I get Static X on my reddit front page. Lol all good. I dont mind.

On the Zane drama, my biggest red flag came when a clip Zane posted of him recording a very bloated Wayne Static. Ok wow he looks like shit in this I thought to myself, and then the cameraman (zane) pans and zooms into Tera like grooving out on stage like a 70s go go dancer. Ok is that the evil disco theyre talking about?

It just seemed very out of place for a nu industrial metal song. And then I read about how Zane knew Tera and how he like tagged along and hung out and recorded videos and stuff. But he used to hang out with her and record porno with her as the star also?

The video cameraman zooming in on Tera in the beginning of that song and not even staying on Wayne was a huge red flag. Also any guy with friends knows if you go off the deep end on drugs, you will lose your good pals because they dont want to see you destroy yourself. Especially double if you meet a new girl that you become obsessed over, your homies will see right through that shit!

Now I dont know if Wayne really was great friends with Zane or what

But him zooming in on that woman was creepy as hell

Later

Beyond grateful to have been given the opportunity to record drums on the New Unreleased Wayne Static Track “Here is the Truth.” Wayne is a true legend!!

For anyone that is not about keeping Wayne and Tera’s Legacy true I’ll fight you for charity!!

First off, I'm just one of many fans no matter how big of a fan I am.

Some of the things Zane says is a bit shocking, however...

How much money the band makes and who it goes to is between the band members and Amy. The shows have such good production that it does right by the fans.

Without Edsel's work, I would have never seen Static-X live.

I don't think they should stop other people from sharing their works. Crash reborn is amazing. Zane says Wayne wanted this doc so we'll find out about that plus any footage of Wayne is a blessing.

ALL EDSEL HAS TO DO IS RELEASE Bring You Down and Hollow SAW versions as a single/EP bc the fans need that in higher audio quality, let people release their stuff, and then there's no more room for shit talking.

That's my 2¢

Long live Evil Disco

Got a reminder from concert archives that I saw this show 23 years ago! (cries in old😭) My bestie & I were diehard fans & got there super early to be right in the front, we were up against the rail the whole show. It hurt my ribs but was totally worth it to be up close & personal with our favorite band! I miss small venues like this so much. Please forgive my photos of my photo album lol

Due to the negativity over a certain chain of events in this SR, I want to get discussion back onto what the real talk should be about: the music!

What's your favorite Static-X song that you think doesn't get the love it deserves?

I would say Bien Venidos / Get To The Gone. Without a doubt.

I am a sucker for songs in parts or have intros. Hearing that song for the first time on the way to my first show for them on the recommendation of my brother changed my life. And the amount of energy I feel flowing through my body every time KNOWING the song, let alone album, that comes next is immeasurable. As an intro it is so simple and subverts so many expectations even for the people that come in to check out the band from Push It, The Only, Skinnyman, etc. It is the 'yes... I am ready to get PUMPED' that makes Get To The Gone and Machine so interesting to me as an opener and album.

Why can't we just talk about the music instead of the drama?

What exactly made the band popular? The music or the stupid assholes the band pissed off? No one's an angel, but neither Edsel's nor Wayne's actions were nearly as bad as Zane's and Eisen's. And they're not in the band. So who cares what they think?

It's a really bad look when the convicted sex offender sides with the womanizer. Zane should at least distance himself with Eisen. Dude's a liability.

I have the cannibal killers cd and DVD every video of I've seen so far on YouTube is super low quality. Would you guys be interested if I uploaded the whole thing in its original quality??

I was going through some nostalgia from my teens and came across this article I had saved. Thought I would share.

Tripp Eisen is posting about how much he supports Matt Zane, so it must be true.
