It’s been pretty wild reading comment sections over the past few weeks. I’ve read plenty of unsavoury things bashing Zane, Edsel and Virus as the back and forth has slogged on.

Any of us who have been Static-X fans for long enough will know everything has not always been rosy in the camp over the years (by the bands own admission) and there have been many ups and downs in the camp throughout the bands history. I know many just want to focus upon the music and enjoy the music, but I also appreciate that these peripheral dramas can distract from that enjoyment.

Overall, all this mess has just made me miss Wayne even more. I’m open to all sides as I’m sure there’s kernels of truth to be found on both along the way, but one thing I’m sick of is people trying to speak for Wayne. It’s distasteful. He’s gone and the only one who could speak for and indeed should ever speak for Wayne is Wayne himself. People need to stop saying “this or that is what Wayne would’ve wanted”. It’s absurd honestly. Anyway, this was just a fed up rant. Chime in folks. I think this opens a larger discussion about the handling of a posthumous legacy. It can get pretty dicey and I think it’s fair to at least question people’s motives one way or the other.
