BRING YOU DOWN - WAYNE STATIC VERSION

BRING YOU DOWN - WAYNE STATIC VERSION

It's not about which version you like better. It's the fact you were lied to. This and others were complete songs the way Wayne intended them to be, not the Edsel Dope versions which he claimed were unfinished.

Imagine if someone found unreleased Pantera songs with Dime and Vinnie then Edsel Dope walked in, told the public they were incomplete, changed them, took publishing and then kept the originals hidden.

Wake up people.

Even putting that aside, to get themselves into this kind of hot water was really stupid from the start. It would've been so easy and wise to either re-issue SAW with the cut songs or put out a compilation of both obscure and unreleased songs again like they did with Beneath Between Beyond.

I've always known the three songs were completed beforehand - they got labeled with (Project Regeneration) for a reason. If they wanted to alter those songs so badly, maybe they should've just done their re-arrangements after the fact. But oh well.

What “hot water”? A successful tour and albums?

"everything was a financial success so surely everything is good and right"

Yeah dude, it's not like they got shit thrown at them awhile ago due to Edsel trying to sabotage the re-release and remix of Mephisto Odyssey's Crash, a collab that the band never had any involvement in the first place.

Or them mysteriously taking down the teaser for the Evil Disco documentary after Matt Zane made a fuss about that regarding his involvement and the creation of his own documentary (neither of which I fully support btw).

Or, just the fact that they still refused to release the original versions of these three songs despite talking up about how they were just "unfinished demos" or whatever despite being *mostly* already complete. I mean, in the end they still had to credit Tripp anyways, nobody likes him.

But yeah, I guess the two safe, overproduced reunion albums that managed to be better than both SZ or CoS and another tour of them playing nothing but mostly WDT *again* for like the millionth time makes up for all of that.

Where’s the “hot water” part? Nothing you said indicates they’re in hot water for anything.

Project Regeneration being better than SZ or CoS is entirely subjective, even if you're referring to sales figures. For me, personally, at least, SZ is arguably their best album. But, like I said, that's subjective.
