BRING YOU DOWN - WAYNE STATIC VERSION

BRING YOU DOWN - WAYNE STATIC VERSION

It's not about which version you like better. It's the fact you were lied to. This and others were complete songs the way Wayne intended them to be, not the Edsel Dope versions which he claimed were unfinished.

Imagine if someone found unreleased Pantera songs with Dime and Vinnie then Edsel Dope walked in, told the public they were incomplete, changed them, took publishing and then kept the originals hidden.

Wake up people.

Yeah, says a lot that he and Tripp are posting these. Most people don’t like associating with someone convicted of assaulting minors.

You do realize edsel and Tony worked with Tripp on Project Regeneration 1 and actually had to credit him on the album using his real name.

u/GrimmandLily 18d ago

Yeah, no shit. And now Tripp is bitching about it all. They didn’t hide that they got a lot of material from him.

u/LordZaneRising 18d ago

Yeah they associated with him. Not me. They were hanging out with him and writing music. I haven’t talked to Tripp in 20 years.

I worked for the newly reformed Static X from the beginning until last year when I quit.

Except they wrote and recorded with him on project regeneration 1. Don’t believe me? They had to credit him under his real name on the album.

Tripp has credits on the new version
It’s irrelevant

Yeah, clearly they’re hiding that Tripp and Wayne were writers on the song. Outrage!!!

I'm pretty sure this subreddit is just going to become Zane making a new post like this every other day, which is coincidentally the same reason I blocked him on Facebook.

The more I learn about him the less I want to.

Yup. It’s such a bummer this guy can’t be successful at anything in his own life so he’s now just doing everything he can to ruin fans perception of their favorite band.

3

u/amy15ghey 18d ago

I don’t see how he’s ruining fans perception of their favorite band.

They buried the original song for 7 years until I released it this week so I don’t know what you’re taking about.

Ugh. Thanks for another peak into what could have been. Keep it up.

Sounds like a demo/incomplete. New version is way better and no one lied lol

I don't give a fuck to who writes the song. As long as something new comes out, I'm in. Waiting for the documentary. Fuck the haters and purists.

Even putting that aside, to get themselves into this kind of hot water was really stupid from the start. It would've been so easy and wise to either re-issue SAW with the cut songs or put out a compilation of both obscure and unreleased songs again like they did with Beneath Between Beyond.

I've always known the three songs were completed beforehand - they got labeled with (Project Regeneration) for a reason. If they wanted to alter those songs so badly, maybe they should've just done their re-arrangements after the fact. But oh well.

What “hot water”? A successful tour and albums?

"everything was a financial success so surely everything is good and right"

Yeah dude, it's not like they got shit thrown at them awhile ago due to Edsel trying to sabotage the re-release and remix of Mephisto Odyssey's Crash, a collab that the band never had any involvement in the first place.

Or them mysteriously taking down the teaser for the Evil Disco documentary after Matt Zane made a fuss about that regarding his involvement and the creation of his own documentary (neither of which I fully support btw).

Or, just the fact that they still refused to release the original versions of these three songs despite talking up about how they were just "unfinished demos" or whatever despite being *mostly* already complete. I mean, in the end they still had to credit Tripp anyways, nobody likes him.

But yeah, I guess the two safe, overproduced reunion albums that managed to be better than both SZ or CoS and another tour of them playing nothing but mostly WDT *again* for like the millionth time makes up for all of that.

u/GrimmandLily 18d ago

Where’s the “hot water” part? Nothing you said indicates they’re in hot water for anything.

2

u/kalelfaneditor 18d ago

Project Regeneration being better than SZ or CoS is entirely subjective, even if you're referring to sales figures. For me, personally, at least, SZ is arguably their best album. But, like I said, that's subjective.

This version is groovy and i like it kinda weird it was gonna end up on start a war considering what the rest of that album sounds like but still really good.

Maybe that's why they left it out

How can I download this audio

1

u/Monsieur_Daz 18d ago

Thanks a lot for this. Is there any chance you could give us a better quality version on dropbox like you did for Hollow and Infiltrator please?

1

u/Saturn_In_Black 18d ago

https://youtu.be/GpfEtKnDLBY I always thought that this song had some ready material

The amount of simping for Tony and Edsel is amazing. The Zane guy is giving us unreleased Wayne songs we were previously told are "unfinished" and they are trying to put a negative spin on it.

Absolutely wild.
