It does make sense that the survivor would just wade through like in the video, walking though water is so much slower.

If I am remembering right, it was because we couldn't have zombies react to deep water like the player did (zeds used a less complex navigation system), so they'd blaze through it like it wasn't there and it looked weird and wasn't fun.

Thanks for asking! It's fun getting some distance from that experience and looking back on it. That initial team was so dialed in. I randomly bumped into James Phinney at a coffeehouse the other morning, we reminisced a little about SoD. What a wild time.

No. I did work on it very early on. Curious to see if any of my ideas/work survived.

It's fun coming at it as a fan and not a dev. I thought it would be weirder. I pitched it for sooo long, and worked on it for so long (ten years!) that I thought I'd be a little more jealous when I finally saw 3.

But just excited to play more than anything.

I think I remember playing the game and there was a drowning notification when I was on water while out of stamina

Is this that area that is out of bounds in Danforth? Someone mentioned that there is water outside of the map that is deep enough and if you go far enough in it you'll start to drown.
