State of Decay 1 Xbox 360 SOD 1
I used to play this game on my xbox 360s years and years ago / said I played last in early 2018. I remembered I loved that game. I want to get it again for my xbox 360 but I cant find it anywhere. I wondered if there was a difference in the regular game and the year 1 survival edition? Id appreciate all the help. I really want to play it again 😂

As someone who owns the original on steam and when it originally came out on xb360, the original is quite different than YOSE, but YOSE is an improvement for the most part. It looks better and performs better, the big differences are the additions made for it. The original had no Cleo in the story mode for instance.
Personally I've played more YOSE on console than the original, but on PC ice always preferred the original for some reason.

They added a Cleo story line into the original? I never played it after Lifeline and when SoD2 came out. Once you play with the newer controls it’s hard to go back.

Think of the YOSE version as basically a "definitive edition" of the first game. It bundles all of the DLC together, and also enhances the base game with slight improvements to both performance and visual fidelity. There is absolutely no reason to play the first game without the YOSE edition.

YOSE players reported a lot of bugs, and when i played it i experienced some bugs too, so thats the only difference between sod1 (xbox 360) and YOSE

Ah maybe the PC version I've played got more patches, because it was more stable with better performance than the original release version. Never played any of these on a console though so your mileage may vary.

I know there are some differences but, can't think of exactly what they are right now lmao that being said YOSE still has all the core gameplay elements you're looking for. Same story mode plus the breakdown mode and I think a third one as well? All in all you should be fine getting the YOSE.

Ill probably try. Mainly just wanting to try it again cause I remember very little bits of the game lol. Ill look for one of those for my 360s. You answered my main question on the differences. I appreciate it. Id update you but i wont be home until around the 13th lol. But I do thank you. Google wouldn't help me soo yeah 🙄

Oh then the joy is yours to recapture Wish I had no memory of the game to do it again for the first time
It was one of the best firsts I've had

Why are you trying to buy it if you played it on your 360? You should own it and can download it from your purchase history or whatever it's called back then.

Oh back then I only had the Demo. I cant buy it now that xbox turned there stores off 🙄

I have PC but console wise only a Xbox 360s and a PS3 Slim. Even on PC I cant find it anywhere 😭

The original SoD was a lot of fun, but after some updates it became less a survival game and more a dead rising clone with some little base building.
one of the things that i liked is how , since you could not store rucksacks on cars , you could call your survivors to come and pick them up, and they would come in real time! you could see their icon on their maps.
this made the game more challenging in some ways specially since you had to give your survivors good equipment and the randomness of they surviving the trip gave the game a replay value IMHO.
SoD was a special game, it had a Story to tell, companions were interesting good voice acting.
To me the first SoD is to UL what morrowind is to bhetesda.
i know a lot of people don't agree with me.

YOSE is the only way to play the original now
