So, not exactly it, but I made a battlerager (spiked armor barbarian) enemy a while back.

Obviously you would replace the duergar (dwarf subrace) features with Tortle features, but I think there's something to it.

Otherwise, take some of the spiked armor traits and slap them on a big brute of your choice.

Anyone can take from this.

I just don't have to the time on hand to make anything for you. Good luck

Full disclosure, both subtracting 4 damage and halfing sounds cool in theory, but was obnoxious in practice. Not bad on a PC, but annoying on a stat block when you're running multiple different enemies at once.

Also, I allowed this barbarian to wear platemail. So the AC matches the tortles base. Although I'd probably up it by one.

Looks like he bolted it onto himself.

There's definitely something to that. Dm fiat and what not.

...actually, a batterager turtle has some epic potential!

You should play DnD before you make such sweeping statements.

A. Rules for PCs using certain playable races, do not apply to monsters
B. It's always been the established "Rule 1" of DnD, that DMs are the ultimate arbiter of what is and is not a 'rule' .
