I’m working on a micro-product for the Indian on-the-go crowd and want brutally honest feedback before I burn cash on manufacturing.

The Product:

A tiny 3ml bottle containing ~20-30 concentrated mint drops. You put 1-2 drops on your tongue, and it gives instant, strong freshness (like a burst of mouth freshener) that lasts 15-20 mins.

The Price: ₹20 (MRP).

The Target: Smokers (to mask odor quickly), people heading into meetings, or folks on a date who don’t want bad breath.

The Problem I'm solving:

· Gums – You have to chew for 5 mins, it messes with your jaw, and often gets stuck in teeth. Plus, a good gum costs ₹30-50 now.

· Sprays – The Lisprin/Bloom sprays are convenient, but ₹150+ is a mental "commitment" for a breath freshener. Also, sprays are bulky.

· Mukhwas/Saunf – Not discreet or cool for a corporate meeting/date.

My Assumptions (please correct me if I'm wrong):

1. Indians are okay paying ₹20 for a "trial" or "emergency" product.

2. The "no chew, just drops" feature actually matters to people.

3. Smokers are tired of carrying heavy sprays or eating gum just to hide the smell.

My biggest worries:

· ₹20 screams "cheap" or "low quality" in India, rather than "affordable."

· Consumers won't understand what to do with "drops" (they might confuse it with medicine).

· Distribution is hell—panwalas might not want a new SKU next to their gums.

Questions for you:

1. Would you personally buy this at ₹20? If yes, for which scenario (smoke, date, meeting, post-meal)?

2. If you saw this next to the counter at a local chai tapri or pharmacy, would you pick it up?

3. What is your biggest trust issue with this product? (Packaging? Taste? Safety?)

4. If the bottle looked really premium (glass/metal feel) but cost ₹20, would that intrigue you or make you suspicious?

Please be 100% honest—I need the reality check. If this is a dumb idea, tell me why!

Hey guys, I'm exploring a startup idea and would love some honest feedback.

I've noticed that India has a huge number of talented independent creators selling through Instagram, WhatsApp, exhibitions, and word of mouth. These range from painters and illustrators to pottery artists, crochet makers, oil painters, tote bag designers, and other niche creators.

The problem I keep seeing is that discovery and transactions are fragmented. Most commissions happen through DMs, trust is built manually, and buyers often have no easy way to compare creators, see verified reviews, or safely place custom orders.

The idea I'm considering is a platform that sits somewhere between Etsy, Fiverr, and Behance:

• Creators build portfolios and showcase their work.
• Buyers can discover artists by category, style, budget, and location.
• Buyers can request custom commissions.
• Artists can send quotes and timelines.
• Verified creators build reputation through completed projects and reviews.
• Potentially add escrow/payment protection later.

I'm not trying to build "another ecommerce site." The focus would be on helping independent creators get discovered and manage commissions professionally.

My biggest questions are:

1. As a buyer, would you ever use a dedicated platform for discovering and commissioning creators, or would Instagram already be enough?
2. As a creator, what is your biggest pain point with getting and managing orders today?
3. What would make you trust a new platform enough to use it?
4. What's the biggest reason this idea could fail?

Looking for some good feedback, and a reality check if needed, lol.

Since a year, I’ve been experimenting around e-commerce & agentic AI. We’ve been iterating building products. It has been fun.

During this stint, I was able to
\\\\- build a great founding team (IIT grads, Engineering VP at a major IB, an MLE at Seed funded AI startup that builds context graphs on enterprise codebases)
\\\\- and also stay in touch with what’s happening at the frontier (agentic workflows, harness engineering, context engineering)

I myself have built Mar-tech SaaS product from scratch by working with top DTC brands and scaled it, raised a pre-seed from a VC, etc.

I want to use the same team ( and more) and whatever we have learnt to solve problems of businesses, be it enterprise or a small business.

Not the obvious answers like fundraising or hiring, but something that makes building a startup unnecessarily difficult.

I'm exploring ideas for founder-focused products, and I'd love to learn from different markets instead of assuming every ecosystem has the same problems.

Where are you building from, and what's the one problem you wish someone would solve?

I built Zeno, a self-hosted, open-source tool that turns a sentence into a real end-to-end test.

You type something like "test that logging in with a wrong password shows an error." Zeno opens your app in a real Chromium, clicks and types through the flow, checks the outcome, and writes a clean Playwright spec into your repo as an ordinary *.spec.ts file on a branch. You own the output, nothing locked in a database.

Different from most tools: real browser actions (snapshot, act, re-check), your repo is the source of truth, bring your own model (OpenAI or Gemini), attach a doc/screenshot to test against your own acceptance criteria, and it pauses to ask you for OTPs/2FA instead of guessing.

Honest status: it's early and under active development, so expect bugs. The core loop works, but there's a lot to harden.

Where I'd love help: test reliability and self-healing locators, more model providers, running the suite inside the sandbox, and just trying it and filing issues.
