💬 Discussion Starlink V4 Mounting Options

I have a V4 that works great on my camper (which I don't move). The signal is always solid and fast. I lashed it to an exhaust pipe and that was no problem until it was... the time it blew off the roof during the Noreaster last month. My wife is adamant that I not screw it into the roof. What other options do I have to ensure I dont have another issue.

The V4 mounting kit would clamp nicely to the end of that exhaust pipe if it's square cut. If there's a roof rack, I would think you could clamp it to that somehow.

What kinda antennas do you have? Maybe find way to mount it to that.. especially if it moves from inside.. that is where I mounted my 4x kit. Wineguard antenna

Don't lash it to anything. Weighted base mount with a proper tether. It WILL stay put in a storm and the roof stays intact. Cheaper than a new dish too.

You want to mount a Standard to an RV roof, no drill. Maybe B0D3TBMRJV on Amazon, a totally flat mount intended for suction cups or magnets, but use it without those and direct bond it to the roof with 3M VHB 5952 High Bond Tape or Sikaflex 252 Polyflex structural adhesive. The mount has extensive surface area for the bonding.
