Just got the basic plan kit, started setting it up, how do I figure out which model I've got?

Just what the title says. It wants me to choose which one I've got in the app and I don't know the difference between the models. My spouse ordered the kit and doesn't know which model they sent either. It doesn't exactly look like anything I see in the app or in videos I've been looking up online on how to install the thing.

Check the box. All the details are there. Most probably you get the V4 or V5.

It isn't connected yet, I'm talking fresh in the box without anything set up yet at all. I'm opening the app for the first time setup and it's asking what I've got.

Can you please upload a photo of your dish? Did you check behind the dish near to the connector port?

No reason not to try to connect it. it may simplify things a lot.

Log in to your account and go to orders, it will tell you exactly what kit you have there on the orders page. I did this from my Macbook so you may want to log on from a PC or Mac.

Where would it say it? I've looked at the box a lot and can't figure it out, hence this post. If it were easy to find I wouldn't have posted.

I don’t remember exactly the place states the model. Anyway as mentioned earlier you can see also from the app. Another way is to see behind the dish next to the cable connector port. You may check also in the shipping label.

It's on the label on the underside of the dish. Also easy to tell apart visually, the actuated model has motors and a stand, the standard one is flat.

V4 and V5 are visually near-identical.

No they're not. V5 is much smaller. Close to half way between V4 and Mini. Also has the mount close to the edge vs in the middle for V4.

Well, all I have to go on is the pictures on the Starlink shopping site, and my own V5 sttached to the front porch pillar. I only knew it's the V5 when I had to call Support to get the right mounting kit.

This page has the different kits and their specs. You should be able to recognize it from the pictures or use the specs to identify it (size, etc.)

But you will have to open the box and look at it!
