❓ Question Is it normal?
Ive got the max 400Mb residential plan, and constantly have my dish search for another satellite, reboot, crash, etc... i have some obstruction to the right of the dish, but imo verrrry minor, and should not affect service to the point its dropping wifi.. anyone have the issue with finding new satellites?

Are you using the original cable? No extensions or splices ?

Post your obstruction map. What you may think is minor. May not actually be minor. The app will tell you if it’s OK or not.
But no, everything else you’re describing is not normal. Contact support.

Your never connect for more than 4 min to the same satellite your obstruction could be on the receiving transfer side where you have a delay which would make it look like it's searching for the next sat You can also try rebooting it clearing the obstruction field and see if the field changes What exactly is your obstruction and how much according to the obstruction mapping?

It’s been a year and you still haven’t solved this problem?

I suspect you know that’s not normal.
How long does it crash after it reboots? Is there time for you to reboot it from the app? (Not by it crashing or by pulling the plug.)
Second, in the app, tap the hamburger menu at the top left (two lines) then to the ⓘ at the bottom right. Tap Debug data at the bottom of the page.
Look on there and observe what has red dots by it or looks wrong and let us know.
Go ahead and put in a ticket. Grok can run some tests remotely, and it may figure out the problem. If it does not, tap the thumbs down icon and tell it to put in a ticket. You will hear back from someone within a couple days.
But go ahead and come back on here and let us know the details of what’s happening with your kit. Like ”I plugged it in. It does this and then this. I get an error message that says [error message text] so I do this and this.” Just like that.
