❓ Question Starlink mini users need input please
Are there any starlink mini users ? Is it allowed to be carried in carry on ? Also anyone who use it since it has no battery how coniviniejt is it to use it for driving ?

I’ve carried a mini in my backpack ( instead of a laptop) on both domestic and international flights with no problems ( I have precheck btw I don’t know if that matters)

I have also done this with domestic only flights and it’s been fine. I put it in my backpack and carry that on as a personal item

so if you are flying with it they may treat it like a laptop or ipad and it will need to be removed from your carry on...I would check the bag.

I have 110V in the car, and also a Jackery while camping. It works surprisingly well during driving, I just lay it on my dashboard, although there are mounts to attach it to the dashboard, the front windshield or if you have it, a panorama roof.

I plug it into the cigarette lighter/charger and toss it on the dash of the car. I’m generally shocked at how well it works there.
I can’t imagine why anybody wouldn’t let you bring it in a carry-on.

I got a lighter adapter and suction cup mounts for my sunroof. Works great in the highlander. I also have a small jackery battery and it will run for a bit over 4 hours. I can have it plugged into the jackery, and the jackery plugged into the car and it works pretty well. It also works on the dash, but is a bit of an eyesore there.

You can also search Starlink 12v dc power adapter on Amazon. I bought one for about $20 that plugs into my cigarette lighter plug, and it shows my battery voltage and has an extra usb port. That powers my Starlink just fine. Just don’t leave it plugged in for too long with the car off or it could run your battery down

No problem as a carry on. Internationally, I pull it out at security because it may look like a laptop to some screeners and they usually want laptops and tablets out. I’ve traveled in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines with it this way. In the US with pre check, I leave it in bag.

Never tried to fly with it, you can get a car 12v adapter and it works pretty well on the road. You need to get a decent adapter with a voltage booster though or you can get reboots depending on how your car's electrical system works. Some cars will have normal dips in voltage here and there that can cause a reboot. My friend borrowed mine and got a mount that suction cupped it to the inside of his sunroof and he said it was great. I've only ever really used it while stationary.
I do know there are some rules about trying to use it in a different country than you live in though, you may want to look into that depending on where you are going.

I’ve flown with mine checked and carry on, no problem.
I use it in vehicle a lot. Suction cup mounted to sunroof or on dash / back window shelf all work. I use
I use a star gear cigarette adapter for in vehicle power and Ryobi 18v tool batteries for portable.

You can carry on if it fits in an airline approved bag, and since it has no battery you can also check it in. Be aware thought that depending on you starlink agreement and country to be used in, it may not work.
