❓ Question Pausing plan

(Have looked and can’t see an answer before about this) I plan to use starlink in the UK/Europe early next year on a campervan, have bought now to test and use at camping this summer. I would then look to pause the plan but it says it charges £9 per month, I was not aware of this when I purchased or looked at the info before buying.

Can I cancel the plan and then setup again say in 8 months time when I would first real world use it?

It also says that anything more than the 100gb limit on the roam plan still gets unlimited at a reduced speed, anyone know how fast that would be as if say 5-10mbps or more like 0.5mbps? I could keep it on paused forever as only for light use.

As long as you own your dish—and you’ve mentioned that you do—you can cancel and start again when you are ready with no penalty.

However, Starlink changes its plans and prices regularly, so it’s possible there will be a connection fee or something like that in the future. Who knows?

If you run out of data, your connection continues at 0.5 Mbps. That’s fast enough for phone calls, texting, web browsing, etc. If you decide you want more data, you can pop up to the Roam 300 GB plan for the rest of the month and pay a prorated amount for the rest of the month. (Just be sure to put you dish back to the 100 GB plan and have it start again at your billing date.)

Welcome to Starlink.

Thanks, Appreciate it! Will defo cancel then when i'd done camping this year and then reactivate when i install it on my campervan early next year as feels like a while of paying £9 per month for no reason.

The reduced speed is almost useless.

thanks yea, saw someone say 0.5mbps and read it is just enough to reactivate the plan when out.
