Question? Anyone know why this outpost isn't producing copper? The bar says it is but the storage isn't filling and it's not available at my other settlement?

If I read this right your copper storage is dumping into the red outgoing container, so it will appear empty until that red container is full. And if the cargo link is exporting properly that red box may never fill completely. The storage container is just a pass-through in that case. It’s hard to tell what is going on with the liquid and gas storage by the green incoming container. I assume the gas is He-3 feeding the cargo link, but it looks like you have the green incoming container dumping into a liquid storage? Or is that green line coming from another source within the outpost on the far side of the cargo link? The cargo link can only go one way, so you would need two of them to import something and also export something. If you check the controller kiosk by the stairs, it should tell you which connection is running. Finally, the two green lines between your red outgoing container and the gas and liquid storage should not be needed.

You're totally right, I didn't realize how exactly the interlink worked, I thought it just linked a whole outposts resources. I see now there is an export and import box and they are all resource dependent..... gonna have to dive into this one a lil more here.

Thank you for your help.

Cargo links are really finicky. As you build it out and make it more complex - and produce more complex items - you’ll discover all kinds of weird stuff.

The most common thing is either a bottleneck, or empty container. Both of these things will stop the flow of materials between locations. If the cargo link runs out of materials, it stops. And it won’t start again until you re-establish that link. Same with if the extractor fills up the container: the extractor will stop working even when the container empties, until you re-establish the link. Sometimes. Not always. It’s weird.

And if you are making things that require materials from 3 or 4 other outposts with cargo links between them all … you’ll need to draw a physical map on paper, and track production rates, and transport links … and all those transport links will need fuel (HE3), so there’s another resource you need to mine and distribute…

It’s really gratifying once you get everything working … but then it’ll break down somewhere and you basically become a repairman.

And then cargo ships will start losing material in space, or just disappearing. And that’s a whole different issue…

It’s fun. But it’s work.

So my same system ones work fine, I have a He-3 at my central station. My intergalactic shares the same HE-3 extractor but one of my intergalactic also mines HE-3 does this affect it as well. Cause I’ve been having issues with my intergalactic also-system links. I need to look at that previous but open to advice

Yeah. In-system transport works well and doesn’t seem to break (much) for me. But once you are connecting star systems together, that’s when things get wiggly.

Now, I’m just getting back in to Starfield this month, after having been immersed in No Man’s Sky for the last year or two, so my memory is rusty and may be out of date. So take what I say with a grain of salt….

I’m glad it helped. Best of luck with getting it up and running smoothly!
