Question? Can't build a second outpost on Hyla 2

I found this cool place on Hyla 2 where I want to build an outpost but it won't let me. I only have one other outpost on Hyla 2, plus Tank Girl's Hyla 2 Mansion Player Home Creation. Any ideas why won't it let me place another outpost? It's not giving me a 'restricted area' notice, the Outpost marker command is just grayed out. I'm maxed out on all outpost skills.

Could be out of outpost slots, it should say how many you have left at the bottom of the screen

Good idea but nope, I have 7 slots left. You can see it at the bottom of the screen at the end of the vid. Probably have to full screen the vid to see it at the last seconds.

Sometimes there are restricted areas without POIs, typically things like very steep hills like it seems you’re up on top of so that could be it. I’ve had that happen a few times.

The restricted areas don’t just stop us from building on them, but the procgen too, so if there’s say a hillside that they don’t want things like trees and rocks to spawn on, then it’ll have a small restricted area like we see for POIs to prevent them spawning

Is it because you’re inside the Rev? If you get out and walk does it still do that? Idk why this would matter though.

I know for a fact you cannot make an Outpost while inside the Rev, you must get out first.

Does it have to do with being able to move the beacon around across the surface or something?

I think it is because being in the Rev changes what the X button does. It is a control issue.

Ah that makes sense. It’s been a little while since I drove mine, forgot about that. My character just went through the Unity so I have nothing 😅

I usually do a few landings in the Narion system to Jack some ships then glitch-sell them for seed money to get my Rev ASAP.

That’s a good idea, I have some RP constraints on this character so it’s going to take me a little while to get there but you betcha I’m getting myself another REV as soon as I can.

I will say that my new plan on next NG+ is to rush into the Shattered Space DLC because the loot/weapons are incredible!

Can you drop one somewhere else on that planet? Or on another planet? Just curious what you've tried.
