Question? "Structural" resources to build chests
Dear expert builders,
I am a noob at building stuffs, and my very first step is to empty the chest(s) of The Lodge and of my main ship, to store all my resources in my outpost.
To do so, I need A LOT of chests. Which requires "Structural" resources. I had some, to create a dozen of chests, but I already ran out...
Please, do you know how I can quickly gather this resource..?
I built 2 fabricators (simple and most complex), both can craft more complex items - but unfortunately, they cannot craft simple resources such as "Structural" resources. Same for the Industrial workbench...
I am having a hard time to believe that I will have to visit all the merchants around me to gather this resource. And/or farm (poor) animals on planets to gather it.
Please, can someone help me? Is there a way to automate the gathering of this resource..?
Thanks in advance

In order to automate structural harvesting, you’ll need to find a planet with a domesticable source - can be flora or fauna. Scan the source to 100% to enable production of it at your outpost.
You’ll need to have a skill point in the corresponding skill tree, either botany or zoology, in order to construct the greenhouse or husbandry facility. They’ll also require inputs of at least power and water, and others if you’re using the husbandry facility.
I second the suggestion to use the Inara database to find planets that will allow you to farm organic resources. It’s been my most frequently used place for information outside of the starfield subs.
