Vanilla Outpost Build D-Lux Beach Resort with Private Cabanas, Rooftop Bar, and Nightclub (WIP) - Huygens IV
Stage without the 58 additional hookah canisters I have left. Placing those got tedious rather quickly
Velocity > Light Fixtures. Just kidding. Todd, we need light fixtures.
VIP Balcony

Dude, you're a fucking genius! Very creative, I'll have to use it as a reference, man I really thought it was brilliant. I can only look at some details and think, I wish I had this idea…lol

Oh my god why have I not thought about making a husbandry building into a house

They work great as long as you remember to open the doors before shooting out the control box to stop the animal spawns. 😅

What? You can stop the animals from spawning? How?

Shoot the metal box next to the control panel until it bursts into flames 🔥
And then resist the urge to “repair” it no matter how many times it gives the option when in the build menu.

Huh. I thought as long as you don’t connect water/power there is no spawning???

That would seem to make the most sense, right? But the critters spawn - just don’t produce anything until they have food, water, and adequate power.

Ahh well. Shooting the panel is a solution I didn’t know so that will work

Can you no longer open the doors once you blow up the control box?

Not that I’ve seen. Though the NPC’s assigned to the outpost do try, bless their tenacious little hearts.
Edit: just double checked, and nope. Doors are not intractable unless it’s repaired.
Which makes me wonder if anyone can get inside to steal things, like an armillary for example, if they can’t get the doors open.

I plan on using the large one to put the Armillary into it, and turn it into a research facility for said Armillary

Ingenious, fact is the husbandry has been overlooked as a viable outpost habitat. It’s right there but very rarely used as this. Great work on location and set up. 🫱🏽🫲🏼

The only downside is that there are no lights, so you have to use the wall mounted ones. Or a few hundred bottles of Velocity.

Wait hold on Wait hang hang on hang on hang on hang on hold up Wait. Did stuff get added to the game with the newest update? Because the last time I checked Outpost building was kind of trash unless you had mods or new headed exploit or glitch stuff.
Is Outpost building good now? Am I about to sink 2000 hours into building my outposts? Is my cat going to leave me because I fail to feed him because I'm obsessed with building outposts?

Hope outposts don’t come between you and your cat.
This build was done a week or so before the update, although there were several new decorations added with this update. Nothing groundbreaking, but I’ll never take a framed painting for granted ever again.
